LRP S8-BXe Team Brushless buggy

After showing it for the first time as a prototype back in February, LRP have finally released the new electric version of their S8-BX buggy, called the S8-BXe Team. Essentially the same front and rear, the main difference is to the central part of the car where the engine has been replaced with a brushless motor and the fuel tank with the battery mount. Due to the design of the S8 BXe, the choice of motor and battery is simple, fitting all common electronic components and depending on your preferences and applications you have the choice, with all ROAR legal motors and LiPo batteries able to be mounted. A conversion kit for LRP S8 BX Premium RTR and S8 BX Team Kit is also available and allows you to easily convert your nitro car, quickly and economically into an electric version.

Kyosho America have introduced the new Inferno series brushless conversion kit that will convert any Inferno series product, regardless of its class e.g. on-road or off-road. Included in the kit is all of the hardware including a universal one-piece molded plastic radio box and battery tray which is designed to fit either 7.4V LiPo packs or 7.2V NiMh packs. Also included is an easy mesh machined aluminum motor mount that uses a single top screw design that can be easily accessed for perfect gear mesh adjustment.

New from Racers Edge, the SC RaceCase was inspired by the emerging Short Course class of vehicles, but its capacity and design reach far beyond. With the optional mid-deck installed the case can carry two on road sedans up to 200mm and this would also include any minis or smaller, like HPI Cup Racer sedans. Once the mid-deck is removed the RaceCase can transport an 1/8th scale buggy with the tires and wing on, comp and scale crawlers, 1/10th scale off road trucks and buggies, and of course Short Course trucks like the Traxxas Slash and Team Associated SC10. It will also carry the 1/8th scale versions of this class like the Team Associated RC8. An integrated radio compartment offers easy transmitter storage, or extra room for tires, tools, or whatever else you can think of. There are also two external pockets with tough zippers for extra storage, while reinforced carry handles in two locations offer comfortable carrying positions no matter what you’re transporting. The shoulder strap also offers a hands free carrying position for the ultimate in comfort and convenience.

Robitronic Night Race & Race of Champions

Robitronic Night Race & Race of Champions

Robitronic have the full report from their Night Race and Race of Champions event that was held last weekend in Bischhofsheim close to Frankfurt am Main. The event consisted of a night team race that began at midday on Friday and ended at 5am on Saturday morning with truggy teams and buggy teams taking alternating times on the track to give each team of up to 5 drivers 7 hours on the track. The buggy class was won by the Team Robitronic Losi team that consisted of Joern Neumann, Martin Bayer, Darren Bloomfield and Carsten Keller, while the RC-Car Shop Race Crew was triumphant in the truggy class. On Saturday following the Night race, the Race of Champions got underway with practice followed by qualifying over the next day and finals on Sunday. European Championship podium finisher Martin Bayer did the double in both classes, winning the buggy class from Joern Neumann and Maximilian Cordts, while in the truggy class Maximilian Cordts took the runner up spot with Stefan Petrich in 3rd.

Schumacher Cat SX S1 Chassis & Tubby inserts

New from Schumacher for their Cat SX buggy, is this chassis plate and top deck that have been specially designed for LiPo packs only. Made from S1 composite, it is much heavier than the standard carbon fibre versions, keeping the extra weight as low as possible. Also new for the Cat are these new alloy rear upper suspension mount that allows shock bracket mounting on either side which is better for the rear shock conversion kit. Finally Schumacher have introduced Tubby inserts, which give a fuller profile to off road tires, which can be a great tuning aid for serious racers.
