Marc Fisher wins 1/12th Stock spec Euros

Marc Fisher wins 1/12th Stock spec Euros

Last weekend, the MACH indoor track in Haarlem, The Netherlands, played host to the European 1/12th scale Stock Spec Championship, an event that had a last minute change of venue to Haarlem and something that the well organised club took in their stride. The 62 racers that attended the event where presented with a tight and technical track on new good quality carpet and which offered little rest throughout the lap, with the drivers having to contend with fast sweepers, tight hairpins and a tricky right left chicane in the centre of the track. Following a day of practice on the Friday, the first qualifying round of 6 was run and immediately it looked like German Corally racer Marc Fisher was the man to beat, setting a new lap record and ending up heading the time sheets from Xray driver Bart Wubben in 2nd and Serpent S120 developer Markus Mobers sitting in 3rd.

Xray Narrow Hard Coated Pinion gears

Xray Narrow Hard Coated Pinion gears

Xray release new narrow high-performance pinion gear manufactured from special lightweight aircraft duraluminum. They are 1.5mm thinner and 25% lighter than the regular-size pinion gear and come in 48 pitch (12-34T) and 64 pitch (18-38T). These new narrow pinions are manufactured by Xray on a specially-modified precision gear machine which has ultra-precise tolerances and assures unparalleled concentricity. After machining, the narrow pinions have all their edges chamfered and then are run-in. The pinions are then specially treated to give them an even hard coating so they stay absolute true for a long time.

ST Racing Concepts Traxxas upgrades

ST Racing Concepts Traxxas upgrades

They have teamed up with one of the best manufacture in the business and MIP’s multiple World Championships and National Championship winning design CVD can now be part of an important upgrade to your Traxxas Slash.  The new C-CVD style design eliminates the original set-screw over drive pin design and instead utilizes a unique screw-on outer C-Ring that captures the drive pin in place. The CVD bones are also constructed of larger diameter for even more durability and comes complete with a pair of beefy steel diff outdrives as well. Also works on Nitro Stampede and Nitro Rustler  The company also offers a heat treated polished steel lock-nut style hinge-pin kit, which will solve the problem of the stock hinge pins backing out of the A-arm. CNC Machined from high-quality steel, it is then heat treated to increase durability and then polished for ultra smoothness, nylon insert lock-nuts at each end of the hinge-pin prevents the pins from ever coming loose. Finally, just for looks, there are these CNC machined aluminium front body posts, with multiple body clips holes to adjust the front body height, and available in 4 colors – Black, Silver, Red, and Blue, to match any paint scheme.
