Team Durango 1/10th EP buggy

Team Durango 1/10th EP buggy

First seen last February when it was originally shown as the S500 from Serpent, the project has since been taken back under the Team Durango name and following some more tweaks to get it ready for the production the new buggy looks finally ready for release. These first closeup shots show a lot of similarities to the S500 buggy, but we believe that the car has received a pretty major makeover, confirmation of which will only come when we finally see the finished product.

Team Associated SC10 2wd Race Truck Kit

Team Associated SC10 2wd Race Truck Kit

So we’ve been drip feeding you news about Associated’s SC10, but now we have the full press release and pictures. Based on a lengthened version of the 6-time ROAR National Championship-winning RC10T4, the engineers behind the doors in Area-51 made the SC10 both all show and all go. The result is the SC10 kit, an authentic scale racing experience, which comes ready to assemble with a clear short course race-truck body, KMC style wheels, aggressive tread multi-terrain tires, all which have been designed to look just like the full-size race trucks that run in short course off-road series around the country. The world of high-performance 1:10 scale electric R/C has never before seen this level of scale accuracy.

JR Mitch moves to Reedy Engines

JR Mitch moves to Reedy Engines

Debuting at the recent CRCRC Winter Midwest Championship, Team Associated factory driver JR Mitch will utilize the Reedy 121 VR engine in his RC8 and RC8T for 2009.  JR races out of Florida and is one of the fastest drivers in his region and as a former ROAR National finalist, IFMAR World’s semi-finalist and Florida State Off road Series champion, JR brings great results and promotional value to the Reedy engine line. When asked about the switch, JR had this to say.

I’ve worked together with OS promoting and running their products for just over the last year. It’s a difficult move but I’m looking forward to my new venture with Reedy. Thank you to John Stokes and Scott Cramer for their support; I greatly appreciate all that you have done.  With Reedy I look forward to working Richard Saxton, Ryan Maifield and the whole team in 2009.
