Team Associated are reporting that their factory team driver Keven Hébert dominated his competition by taking the pole position and driving to a lights to flag victory in the TC Super Stock 13.5 class at the 2008 U.S. Indoor Championships held last weekend. Keven is arguably the best up and coming driver to hit the North American on-road scene in some time, and this result confirms that.

Hot Bodies have released a number of new items for their World Champion D8 buggy, beginning with this lightweight machined chassis plate. Based on the standard chassis plate, it has been heavily machined to get it down to only 40 grams. A lighter chassis will not only improve steering response but also help with fuel economy, as the car will also be much lighter overall. CS Electronic have released this new CS-Factory Professional 4100mAh hard cased LiPo pack. Rated at 25C, this carbon look pack has molded sub-C extrusions on the underside of the case to allow it to fit in and not move around in standard chassis battery slots. The case also has integrated 4mm gold connectors and balancer port and is supplied with a charger and balancer cable with Tamiya connector.

Hot Bodies, under the Moorespeed label, have released this new 908 bodyshell, which has been designed for 1/12th scale circuit racing. This totally new design was developed from the ground up to be the ideal bodyshell for a wide range of racers and tracks. The air rushing over the bodyshell starts at the ground-level splitter and is forced over the front wheels and around the closed cockpit by sculpted flow channels. Ridges over the front wheels disrupt the air just enough to break it loose over the wheel arches until it flows back down slightly over the middle section of the body. The closed cockpit area helps stabilize the air as it rushes over the midsection, which hugs the battery and electronics area of the car chassis as closely as possible. As the air meets the rear wheels, further ducting and vertical supports direct the air over the rear spoiler, where a huge amount of downforce is created. Molded from crystal clear polycarbonate, it features clear overspray film, a pre-cut vinyl window mask sheet, and a decal sheet with headlights and Hot Bodies logos. Also available in lightweight version.
