The AMCA track in Apeldoorn played host to the 6th and final round of the Dutch 1/10th scale 200mm National Championship at the weekend and despite looking like it could rain it thankfully held off. In the Nomac class the finishing results mirrored the qualifying standings with Etnel taking the win ahead of Ricardo Van Dam in 2nd and Ingeborg Gommers 3rd, while in the 1/8th Promo class victory went to Matthieu Hesterman ahead of Ruud Knoester and Sjaak van der Wind.

Chaussard wins 1/10 French Nats Rd5

While the 1/8th boys were racing in Niort, the 5th and final round of the 1/10th 200mm French National championship was underway in Manspach, close to the German Swiss border. Qualifying saw Xray driver Arnaud Chaussard take top honours in the Elite class while in the National class it was another Xray driver Jean Baptiste Geneau on top. The Elite final saw the 2008 title being decided between Chaussard and Basile Concialdi, with the former never threatened throughout the race, only dropping out of the lead at 35 minutes when he changed tires. By the end of the race Concialdi had run out of tires and dropped to 3rd behind Mickaël Pontal who took 2nd while Chaussard wrapped up the title in fine style by taking the win. In the National final the win went to Anthony Bruyer, finishing 3 laps clear of 2nd placed Aurélien Gouriau, while the final podium spot went to Bruno Turbot.
