Drake and Truhe join Ultimate Racing

Ultimate Racing have announced that after testing some UR products, top American Losi/GRP drivers Adam Drake and Mike Truhe have decided to join the Ultimate Racing Team. They will be using some UR products like the wheel balancer, balancing gum, light and closed BS wheel nuts, special pin grease, green clean, aluminium washers and nuts, antenna tubes, among others that do not conflict with any of the current products of their main sponsors.

Jakub Franek takes Polish DTM 540 title

The 6th and final round of the 2008 Polish EP Touring Car Championship was run last weekend at the OSiR track in Klodzko with the DTM 540 title still to be decided. Good weather and good grip levels on this large track saw Serpent driver and Championship leader Jakub Franek take the 2nd place in qualifying in his category. Conditions for the finals were varied but Jakub chose the correct tires and was able to take home his second DTM 540 National title ahead of Michal Erazmus and Lukas Wojtarowicz.

KM Racing have released their new range of updated aluminum handled tools. Featuring special chrome hardened steel tool tips, the hollow lightweight handles are 18mm in diameter for better grip and have 4mm holes on the tool handle to be able to enhance the leverage using another tool tip. Available in the usual range of sizes and types of tips, all tools have grooves on the handle for easy identification and come supplied with the end cap as standard.

Nuno Gancho takes Portuguese title

The 5th and final round of the 2008 Portuguese EP Touring Car Championship was run last weekend at the Sintra track in Lisbon with both the Stock and Modified title still to be decided. Good weather and good grip level on this beautifull and large track saw Xray driver Nuno Gancho take the TQ and win ahead of team mate Daniel Ferreira in 2nd and Tamiya driver Ruben Francisco in 3rd. With this win Nuno Gancho secured the 2008 Modified title ahead of Ruben Francisco and Daniel Ferreira. In the Stock class it was Pedro PIta that won the title after placing 2nd in this race.

Oversloot & Jansen take Dutch Nats wins

We received a report from last weekends Dutch Touring car Nationals that were held on the AMCA track in Apeldoorn. This race played host to the final round of the modified class championship and the 5th round of the stock class. The forecast for Sunday’s wasn’t expected to be great, but it was to be dry in the morning and rainy later on. The stock division had one dry qualification run, and in that run we saw Frans Heinsbroek take the TQ in front of local ace Daan Schennink and Michael Lepelaar.

Cobra Sino Racing have announced the release of some new servos as well as a new charger. Their new Analogue servos come in 6kg and 9kg versions and are both metal geared with coreless motors and come with a blue anodized heat sink as part of the casing. They also have 2 new digital servos that have state of the art digital SMT technology, have coreless motors and also come with a blue anodized heat sink as part of the casing. These servos also use top of the line IC’s together with multiple layer circuits boards. There is also a new AC/DC Silent Charger, that is a state of the art microprocessor based charger/discharger system. The DiamondBack is a switch type unit and can fully charge 1 to 15 Ni-MH and Ni-Cd cells at a digitally preset amperage of up to a maximum 5.0A using peak detection and temperature limiting methods. The DiamondBack can also charge Lithium batteries up to 6 cells as well as lead acid cells.
