BRCA Clubmans Rd5 Stafford – Report

Round 5 of the BRCA Clubmans saw the racers return to one of the real favourites on the calendar, Stafford RCMCC. A huge amount of work has been done to improve the facilities, including a brand-new rostrum with a roof, hopefully to keep the sun off of us. Disabled access is also now an option with a stair lift. The usual great comfort food was on site all weekend and they even sold fresh doughnut’s, how popular were these. Onto the racing and going into this round we were past the half way point of the Championship with top three places to play for in the three classes. The Frontie Class Championship still being up for grabs. 17.5 was looking good for Andy Murray. In Formula One for Luke Lee had already wrapped up the Championship but still in attendance for more track time. Stafford could see the remaining two Championship winners all being decided.

MiBorg IF14-II FWD RCV driveshafts

MiBorg have expanded their line of RCV driveshafts with versions for the newly released Infinity IF14-II FWD. Utilising the design of full-scale cars the driveshafts use ceramic balls instead of cross pins to drive the wheel axle, which results in less vibration even with high steering angles. This leads to a more predictable driving and in addition the wheel axles allow the use of pin-less wheel hex adapters for a better wheel concentricity.

Hobbywing XeRun XD10 Pro ESC

Hobbywing have introduced their first drift specific speed controller, the XeRun XD10 Pro. Available in black, red and purple, they match a large majority of the drift chassis colour ways on the market. The 32-bit M4 processor is equipped with powerful software, features new programmable parameters and it is optimised for drift applications. The new parameters such as, initial start-up force adjustment, 48K ultra-high drive frequency, and 24K ultra-high brake frequency ensures excellent drivability. It is tailored to extract and maximise performance for high-end drifters. The stylish aluminium fan is powerful and helps to massively cool down the ESC, while the ultra-soft 13AWG silicone wire is ultra-flexible and low in resistance. The built-in BEC is able to support both high torque and high voltage servos and can be adjustable at 5.0-7.4V (adjusted to 0.1V/step).
