Aftermarket parts and accessory manufacturer T-Works has added two BB CVD Drive Shaft Set options for the Yokomo MS1.0 1:10 Electric Touring Car. The 45.5mm Ball Bearing (BB) equipped CVD driveshafts improve transmission efficiency and make for a smoother drive system. Sold as a pair of CVDs, in addition to the standard set they offer a lightweight version which uses aluminium axles.
Yokomo through its Racing Performer electrics product line introduces the 740 DC Charger. This DC charger/discharger is compatible with a wide range of batteries, including Li-Po/Li-Fe batteries, and is ideal for racing use. It has two charging ports, each capable of 400W output. In addition, an ultra-fast charge of 800W is possible using the parallel charge function. The colour LCD panel is easy to read and operate, and the easy-to-understand interface makes it simple to use.
Having clinched the 2024 Asian Buggy Championships title at the season finale in Indonesia last October after a consistent campaign, Sworkz’s Christian Wolhuter will get his title defence underway at the upcoming Philippine Masters. Having opted to miss the season opener in New Zealand last month, the Australian returns to Manila for Asia’s biggest annual 1:8 Offroad race having finished fifth last year behind team-mate Joern Nuemann at the Circulo Verde Race Track. Both the Champion of Nitro and eBuggy in the Cayote backed championship, the 18-year-old will be looking to build on his breakthrough international season and looking to his first away race of 2025 said, “Feeling ready for the Philippine Masters 2025 event, with a lot of travel last year and a good start to this year, I have high hopes. With high competition, it is going to be a long, tough fight throughout qualifying and finals. Edward Sio has always put on a killer event through accommodation and, most importantly, the track. British manufacturer Schumacher has released a number of new option parts for its TITC debut winning Mi9 1:10 Electric Touring Car. First up is a new Carbon Fibre lightweight rear shock mount set. Not only does this set reduce the overall weight of the car, it also provides better body support and is a stronger solution to the standard body mount in a heavy rear end shunt. On track it gives the car more rear end stability. Also new is a Carbon Fibre rear top deck brace. A simple solution to brace the rear top deck for a stiffer rear end flex solution. On track it provides the car with a feeling of more rear traction and improved driveability. The final option are Brass LiPo hooks for the Mi8, Mi9 and FT9. Weight a total of 36-grams it keeps a low centre of gravity and aids finding the perfect balance, especially when using Shorty LiPo’s. The Carbon Fibre piece is used to increase the overall height when the LiPo has a recess on the corner.
New from T-Works comes this One Piece Servo Mount for the Team Associated RC10B7 2WD Buggy. Made from 7075-T6 Aluminium, its robust structure provides more effective protection for the servo, reducing wobbling at high speeds or during intense vibrations. The lightweight material also helps to reduce weights as well as adding durability over the kit mount.
Yokomo is giving owners of their entry level Rookie Speed 1:10 Electric Touring cars the option of this Solid Axle Kit. Lighter than a standard geared differential, it eliminates unnecessary differential operation, resulting in a more stable ride. It is particularly effective on high grip surfaces such as carpet, providing greater stability on corner exits and reducing spin on acceleration for faster exit speeds. The loss of differential operation puts a strain on the driveline due to the difference between the inside wheels when cornering, but the use of a double-jointed universal in conjunction with a double-jointed universal minimises the loss of power and allows smooth turning. Sets with or without double-joint universals are available.
