Werks Racing go 100% pre-mount

After months of testing and development Werks Racing have announced that they are offering pre-mounted 1/8th buggy tires which will mean the giant step of going 100% pre-mount only on their 1/8th buggy tires! Werks Racing will no longer be selling un-mounted 1/8th Buggy tires and say the reason was simple, ‘which driver in their right mind wants to glue tires?’ To offer one of the best packages in the industry the US company has taken their complete range of 1/8th buggy tires and matched them with 2 of their other recently released products. The new “white” super consistent, medium compound molded insert and the new low weight, large diameter 1/8th buggy dish wheel. These have been combined with a proven “Italian” gluing system for an inseparable glue bond. All of the components will be manufactured, assembled and glued in Italy at an attractive and affordable price.

Bloomfield wins Novarossi GP

Novarossi GP Buggy Podium

Darren Bloomfield headed an all Losi 8ight podium at a very wet Novarossi Grand Prix yesterday in the UK when the Top Qualifier led home fellow countryman Richard Taylor and Swedish Touring Car ace Vicktor Wilck in a shortened Main Final.  Saturday qualifying saw the 100 plus competitors contend with cold and wind conditions but the weather was to deteriorate overnight and Sunday saw the heavens open forcing the race organisers to reduce the length of the finals as the astro turf track required regular clearing of the standing water using buckets.  Unfortunately for the Truggy competitors, who were running simultaneously on the dirt track at Novarossi Raceway, the race organisers decided to cancel the finals in the grounds of marshaling safety and so the results were declared on qualifying giving Losi a clean sweep of the event with Ed Kerry declared the winner to also give Novarossi engines the double at their own event.

VRC – Professional official name for V4

The new version of VRC on which the VRC development team has worked for the past 3 years has officially be named VRC Professional or in short, VRC Pro. The reason for this name is that the new version is a complete new platform and going from v3 to v4 could suggest that it is just another update. Nothing less is the case. VRC Pro has been completely redesigned, from the ground up. New game logic and structure to accommodate all possible classes, new state of the art graphics engine, extended physics with new collision system, new tire model and new nitro engine physics, and new car and track graphics. And then there is of course also multiplayer.

Marcos Mayer wins São Paulo Open Rd2

Last weekend in São Paulo, on the AARC tack was the 2nd round of the Open class series for drivers using modified brushless motors. The cold and drizzly day made the dispute among Marcos Mayer, Felipe Franceschi and CrisCareca Carpinelli more interesting. Edu Dias, who was on 3rd place in Championship going into this round had some car problems and ended up only in 5th. Marcos Mayer did an excellent race with no mistakes and was the winner, while on an inspired day Felipe Franceshi took the 2nd spot from CrisCareca Carpinelli who ended up in 3rd. In the overall Championship Marcos Mayer is now all alone with two points ahead CrisCareca in 2nd.

Thanks to Adalberto Neri for the report.
