Sven Zünd takes LRP Islikon Masters Rd4

Sven Zünd takes LRP Islikon Masters Rd4

Robitronic have a report on their website from the 4th round of the LRP Islikon Masters in Switzerland. The race was run on controlled tires and the softer, better performing 27-compound was very hard to get on this weekend, therefore some clever tactics were needed and Sven Zünd with his Robitronic Avid made the most of the difficult situation, saving his tyres for the final round of qualifying and the finals. Starting from the pole position, he was able to take the win ahead of the Xray driving Lnenicka brothers Ronny and Sacha who finished in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Kyosho dNaNo FX-101 1/43rd scale

Kyosho dNaNo FX-101 1/43rd scale

Seen here first at the start of February, Kyosho have released full details of their new dNaNo concept on its dedicated, Japanese only, website. These 1/43rd scale cars make the company’s Mini-Z line look big, yet they are extremely detailed and are true radio controlled race cars. Available in 3 different chassis versions, with varying wheelbases and motor positions, the cars are controlled by Kyosho’s KT-18 2.4GHz radio system and are kept stable on the track, we are told, through the use of a mini built in gyro. Powered by a tiny 3.7V 130MAh LiPo cell, the car sports a rear differential and power is supplied through a micro coreless motor, originally found in mobile phones to produce the vibration, but then optimised. To enable the racer to easily compete on different tracks, each car is supplied with its own IC Tag (transponder), which you can see as in blue on the bottom of the car in the picture above. If you want one you will have to wait, but that will give you time to choose between the Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari 360 Modena, Murcielago LP640, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Porsche 962C LH and finally the Mazda 787B.
