All Mod Heavy Load clutch bells

MID in Germany have announced the released of two new clutch bells for use on the All Mod Heavy-Load clutch system. Previously only available in 13T, 14T and 15T, the new 28mm diameter steel bells are now sold in 16T and 17T, and both are now available to buy.

Hagberg wins Swedish Friendship race

Alexander Hagberg wins Swedish Friendship race

Xray have a report by Martin Hudy from the International Swedish Friendship race that took place last weekend in Enskilstunda, approximately 130km from Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. A lot of top drivers from around Europe attended this race and in qualifying it was local ace Alexander Hagberg racing for Xray that took the pole position from Prague GP winner Steen Graversen for Kyosho in 2nd with Martin Hudy for Xray in 3rd. The first final was won by Graversen followed by Hudy in 2nd after Hagberg made a mistake while in the lead. Final 2 saw Hagberg return from a bad first final to take the win in front of Graversen with Martin once more in 3rd. The last and decisive final saw Hagberg win once more to claim the overall win, after a coming together between Martin and Steen allowed the Swedish driver to go into the lead, Martin closed but couldn’t get passed and so Graversen claimed 2nd overall with Hudy on the final podium step in 3rd.

The 2008 Snowbird Nationals entry form is now live, and over 50 entries were received the first 5 minutes the form was up. It is so easy to register, you can sign up and pay on-line. The largest R/C race in the world comes to Orlando, Florida January 29th through to February 3rd, with carpet on-road and carpet oval racing action.  Serpent offset Wheel adaptors

More new products from Serpent for the S400 with the release of these –0.5 mm offset hex wheel adaptors. Sold in a set of 4, these orange anodised aluminium adaptors provide the opportunity for more adjustments to be made to the geometry of the car. They are a direct replacement for the standard versions and as with the originals they use a screw (not included) to clamp itself to the wheel axle. Serpent have also announced the release there new t-shirt for the 2008 season. Made from 100% cotton, this black shirt features screen-printing on the front as well as the back. The front side sports a colour print across the chest with the Serpent oval and new Serpent logo centred on the chest whilst the rear features the Serpent oval logo with serpent.com below it, both in white.

Team Azarashi Front & Rear wings

 Team Azarashi Front & Rear wings

Japanese company Team Azarashi have written an update on their site on the development of some new front and rear wings. The new rear wing provides less downforce than the company’s previous wing giving more controllable handling, while a new front wing helps smooth the airflow over the buggy, helping reduce turbulence on the rear wing. Both wings are still under development but are expected to go on sale before the end of the year.

Serpent S400 Rear Gear Differential

New for the Serpent S400 is this innovative 35T rear gear differential. Designed with competition in mind, this new diff is only 5 grams heavier than the standard ball differential yet provides more consistent operation and there is absolutely no slippage, which helps improve acceleration. Another benefit is that it requires little or no maintenance or rebuilding and it can be simply set by just changing the oil. To keep the weight down, the differential is supplied with coated aluminium out drives and to get you on the track as quick as possible, the diff comes pre-assembled, with you only needing to add oil. Expect a front gear differential in the near future.

Nam & Ahn win 2007 Korea Cup

Serpent are reporting on the the final of the Serpent backed Korea Cup 2007, which took place at the Kirina Circuit in PoChun area near Seoul where Serpent drivers Ahn Hyun Ho and Nam Sang Jun took race victory and overall championship success. Run over four rounds, the Korea Cup was open to all brands of cars with 40 drivers taking part in the season finale. In 1:10 200mm Hyun Ho dominated with his MAX powered 720. Securing the TQ position in qualifying he went on to win the 30-minute Main Final by almost a lap from fellow Serpent driver and SDD team member Sang Jun. Oh Sae Yong, also driving a 720 completed the podium. Also racing in the 1:8 class, Sang Jun went one better with his 960 taking his fourth win of the Series to claim the 2007 Korea Cup title. Sang Jun, who recorded the fastest lap of the race, was followed home by Namkoong Wook who was using the same 960/Max combination with the Kyosho of Oh Yong Taek completing the Top 3.
