Niftech Balancer & Shaft Straightener

Our partners Kimihiko Yano have begun selling these great specialist tools from US based Niftech, specifically this armature shaft straightener and armature / tire balancer. The shaft straightener features a very precise measuring tool that allows you to measure the deformation of the armature shaft accurately while the supplied tool allows you to straigthen the shaft. The Balancer is a magnet hung shaft that comes on a base that sports a spirit level to ensure it has been placed flat while it comes with 2 shafts to allow you to check the balance of both tires as well as armatures.

Maifield tops Rd1 of ROAR Nats qualifying

Maifield tops Rd1 of ROAR Nats qualifying

Rain has been heavily effecting this weekends ROAR Gas Buggy Nationals that are being held at the St. Louis Dirt Burners track in Missouri. With the weather basically eliminating all but a handful of practice sessions for the 300+ entries setups have not been perfected heading into qualifying. Yesterday saw the first round of qualifying, take place under dry weather conditions but on a track that is still soft from the rain. In that session it was Associated RC8 driver Ryan Maifield that took the fastest time in this round ahead of Jammin racer James Taylor, while World Champion Mark Pavidis, racing for Kyosho, ended up with the 3rd fastest time. Qualifying continues today, hopefully under dry conditions, and we will bring you an update after todays sessions.

Team Orion CRF CPD released

Team Orion CRF CPD

Way back at the start of February Team Orion showed their CPD (constant pressure device) system to visitors at the Nuernberg toy fair, and we showed it to you for the first time then also. Well if you have been waiting to buy one ever since, you now can, as it has just been released.

The CRF CPD acting as a pressure valve system, effectively resolves this problem by regulating the amount of pressure going to the fuel tank. The valve allows a constant amount of pressure to be sent to the fuel tank, by opening or closing itself depending on the engine’s rotation speed.

Fischer wins 1/10th German West Rd4

Fischer wins 1/10th German West Rd4

Last weekend in the West of Germany, at the Dormagen track, the 4th round of the west German Regionals were held. The event attracted 53 drivers, slightly less than espected due to the predicted bad weather, which turn out to be wrong, as the weather was dry for the entire event. Qualifying was a battle between top electric racers Mark Fischer and Markus Mobers, with Fischer taking the pole position for the main final. In the race itself Mark was able to pull away directly after the start and could easily win by 2 laps from the Serpent pairing of Markus Mobers in 2nd and Karl Heinz Meister in 3rd.

These motors have been designed with connections for both sensor and sensorless speed controls and will work equally well with either style.
