We wrote about the much anticipated 4wd electric buggy from Team Associated, the B44, when it was announced a week ago. Team Associated have now put the full information from their new car online, including lots of up close chassis pictures such as the one above, but strangely there was no overall chassis shot or from the bottom either, perhaps parts haven’t been finalised.

Our partners RC Mag have the first pictures of the new RTR version of the Thunder Tiger EB4 S3 1/8th scale buggy, spotted at Maquette du Plaisir. Sporting a pullstart Thunder Tiger .28 motor, which has plenty of bottom end power and torque, while the only other differences between this and its successful Pro version is the lack of anti-roll bars, no carbon fiber used, no central CVDs, but other than that its still the same race winning chassis. The car is expected to be sold complete for EUR 428.

Werks Racing have announced the release of the newest addition to their range of competition tires, the new 1/8th “Stubs” buggy tire. Designed for blue groove or high grip type track conditions, the tire utilizes a mini-pin type tread design for maximum grip without allowing the pins to fold over. The new 1/8 “Stubs” also incorporates a larger center pin design for improved forward bite with a slightly domed carcass profile to reduce the tendency for the car to catch edges and roll as is common in blue groove type situations. Comes complete with molded foam insert for the utmost in consistency.

Serpent have released this EFRA approved Mega polished exhaust system for use with your 3.5cc Mega MF or ZX engines. Featuring great fuel economy, this pipe has a lot of bottom and top end power and is best suited for use on high-speed tracks. The pipe set comes complete with the polished conical T5 manifold, which is the best manifold for this pipe, while the top of the pipe features the Mega logo laser etched into it. Last weekend saw the 3rd round of the Swiss 1/10th scale 200mm Nationals run at the Lostallo track, host of next weeks European 1/8th scale Championships. Qualifying saw Mugen racer Dirk Stammler claim the pole position ahead of the Xray driver, and winner of the first 2 rounds, Beat Walti in 2nd, while 3rd spot went to another Xray, that of Traugott Schär. At the start of the final pole man Stammler has some problems and lets Walti into the lead followed by Schär close behind, while on lap 5 Stammler flames out and drops out of contention then the next lap Walti makes a mistake and drops back to fifth. Schär takes over the lead where he stays until 5 minutes till then end when he makes a mistake allowing the recovering Walti to regain the lead where he stays to take the win, and the 2007 National title, ahead of Schär in 2nd with Serpent driver Walter Pollet-Villard in 3rd.
