Axe Rossi may bring Gomez to court?

Richi Gomez

Our site partners, Neo Buggy, have today brought to our attention the news that Axe Rossi may bring Richi Gomez to court over breach of contract. As we wrote before on our site, Richi, who had signed for Axe Rossi at the start of the year in a high profile team launch, was spotted only 2 months later at the Silverstate race running an RB motor and again at the first round of the Spanish Nationals (above) earlier this month. Neo Buggy cite disagreements between both parties prior to the Silverstate event as the reason for the split. Richi had signed to race RB motors only 4 months before signing for Axe Rossi and is quickly building himself a reputation as being unreliable to sponsors.

RB Products, the French engine makers, have announced the release of their new RB Concept C6BB 7T 3.5cc buggy motor. This new engine has made thousands of hours of testing at the hands of RB team drivers to prove its new turbo combustion chamber, which improves the overall power of the engine, and 7mm venturi to help improve traction, which all comes together to provide a wide power band with incredibly smooth acceleration. With these features, the fuel consumption drops and the drivability is increased, especially on low traction tracks.

Chris Grainger joins GM Racing

Chris Grainger joins GM Racing

A little piece, or perhaps a big piece, of news that we overlooked last week was the announcement that UK driver Chris Grainger has joined GM Racing. For brushless racing, the multiple British Champion will now power his Yokomo chassis with GM brushless controllers and motors, while for non brushless running he will continue with Team Checkpoint motors. Only last weekend Chris won the modified class at the opening round of the Schumacher BTCC championships, held at the Stafford track in the UK, which attracted a full entry of 120 racers.

UPDATED to reflect correct sponsor arrangement.
