Slapmaster Brush Cavity Tool “Two”

Slapmaster Brush Cavity Tool

Slapmaster, a company run by Brian Bodine who has 22 years of on road racing experience, have announced the release of the Brush Cavity Tool “Two”.  If you like to use a hole in the center of a brush to further tune your motor, this might just be the easiest tool to use on the market. It will work with upright, laydown and Checkpoint brushes, and the tool comes with a 1.5mm and a 1.85mm drill bit to work with, the bits being finger operated so no power tools are required. Simply lay the brush in the slot, hold it down with your thumb, select the bit size, insert it into the hole & twist away for a perfectly centered hole in the end of your brush.

International manifesto of Ricardo Gomez

International manifesto of Ricardo Gomez

Last week we wrote about a piece we saw on Neo Buggy stating that Richi Gomez could be brought to court by Axe Rossi for breach of contract. Today our other site partners Buggy Sport received the exclusive manifesto from Ricardo Gomez, father of Richi, in which he states (in my understanding as its difficult to read) that they have upheld their side of the agreement and that Axe have not lived up to theirs. What it essentially comes down to is that Axe Rossi have not supplied them with sufficient product support and that what they have recieved has been of substandard quality and definitely not worthy of a top international racer who needs to compete at the highest level. Problems like leaking in both the combutsion chamber and carburettor, to poorly made exhaust systems, these motors have been unusable and replacements have not been forthcoming and thus to fullfill his obligations to his other sponsors he has had to source other engines, which seems fair enough.

Stephane Bouche wins Rd2 of French 1/8th Nats

Rd2 of French 1/8th Nats

The second round of the French Nationals were held last weekend at the Besancon track, one of the oldest in France. The race was well attended with 65 drivers, split between Elite and National classes, and as with all racing last weekend in Europe the competitors were greeted with glorious sunshine. In qualifying for the Eilte class it was Mugen racer, and round 1 winner, Nicolas Guillot that claimed the top qualifying spot ahead of the Kyosho pairing of Sebastian Zatla and Adrien Siegfried in 2nd and 3rd repectively.

In the Elite main final Stephane Bouche quickly made his way to the front with pole man Guillot slotting into second followed by Siegfried, up until he lost his second gear which dropped him down to 6th. Laurent Zatla also ran into trouble losing his belt which meant that Marc Pomponio could move into 3rd and that was how it finished with Bouche taking the win by 1 lap in front of Guillot with Pomponio a further 7 laps back. In the National class it was Serpent racer Gerald Colinet that took the win, by 1 lap ahead of Mugen racer Dominique Lichtle while 3rd position went Sylvain Tolomelli, also driving for Serpent.
