Kyosho have announced that this new Readyset version of their World Championship winning Inferno will be available in June of this year. The car comes completely assembled, all you need to do is attach the air filter and antenna, add fuel and batteries and you are ready to race. The Inferno MP7.5 Sports 3 is ideal for first time GP buggy owners, who won’t fail to recognize the World Champion Inferno’s racing heritage at its core. Turnbuckle tie-rods and upper suspension arms provide wide scope for setting adjustments. Equipped with high torque digital servos, the universal joints on the front axle deliver robust running performance and reliability.

Mark Green wins Rd2 of UK 1/8th Nats

Mark Green wins Rd2 of UK 1/8th Nats

Mark Green was once again on top form as the British 1/8th National series headed south for the 2nd round of the championships. Taking place last weekend this event was run at the Crystal Palace circuit near London under warm Spring sunshine and it was indeed Mark that set the fastest qualifying time but was closely matched by local veteran Dave Dixon. In the main final Mark got away cleanly but Dixon ran into a stray pit man putting him out on the spot, which made it an easy run for Green to cruise home and take the win for Serpent ahead of Neil Diver in 2nd and Andrew North in 3rd.

SoCal Saturday series – Round 1

SoCal Saturday series - Round 1

Last Saturday saw the first round of the SoCal Saturday Series which took place at ‘The Dirt’ facility in California. The race was attended by all the big names including The Drake and World Champion Mark Pavidis as well as many other National and local hotshots. Adam Drake, racing for Losi, won both the Gas Truck class in a close race with Billy Laster, as well as the Pro Buggy class winning from Mugen racer Scott Hughes. Bobby Tullman took the Open Truggy win, only 3 seconds ahead of Ryan Lutz with Pavidis in 3rd.

Eastbourne Electric Car Club open day

EECC Track

The people from the EECC have been in touch to announce their upcoming Open race day that will take place on their excellent new facility in Eastbourne in the south east of England. The Open day will happen on the 3rd of June and will be attended by top drivers such as confirmed entrants David Spashett, Chris Grainger and Andy Moore with the event open to Electric Touring cars in Mod, 19T and 27T categories. This is a great opportunity to run on this new track as well as run with the top guys so be sure to get your entry in soon to be ensured of a place.

Team Kyosho win Israeli 3h Endurance

Team Kyosho win Israeli 3h Endurance

Our partners RC Zone in Israel have written to us to report on last weekends Israeli Endurance race took place at the Hot-Wheels racing club. The event attracted many top drivers from all over the country to participate in the event. Each team consisted of 3 drivers, and with the race 3 hours long, each driver in the team had to run for 1 hour making it a true test of endurance for both man and machine. The event was won by Team Kyosho who came out on top by 2 laps ahead of the Pro Line Racing Team in 2nd while Team GS finished 3rd a further 4 laps back, pretty close running considering the length of the race.

Juho Levanen wins Fintrack Rd4

Fintrack Rd4

Round 4 of the Fintrack series was run 2 weekends ago at the mid sized Laukaa track, the last indoor race of the series, with 4 outdoor rounds to follow. As seems to be a recurring result it was once again Associated racer, and last weekends LRP masters winner, Juho Levanen that took the top spot in qualifying ahead of team mate Christer Andersson in 2nd and Corally driver Simo Ahoniemi in 3rd. In the race it was Levanen all the way, taking the win easily ahead of Ahoniemi in 2nd with 3rd place falling to Xray driver Pekka Koivula.

Jerome Sartel takes Rd2 of French Nats

Last weekend saw the second round of the French 1/8th scale buggy nationals take place at the USB Racing Car track in Bergerac. In qualifying it was European Champion Yannick Aigoin driving for Xray that was the fastest qualifier, but it was Crono racer, and Belgian GP winner, Jerome Sartel that started from the number 1 spot in the race with Yannick starting from 2nd and Renaud Savoya from 3rd. The race saw a close battle between Sartel and round 1 winner Guilliame Vray, racing for Mugen, with the pair only seperated by 13 seconds after the 45 minutes with Sartel taking the win, Vray in 2nd with 3rd position going to Kyosho racer Jerome Aigoin who finished just ahead of his brother Yannick who came home 4th.

Cyril N'Daye wins Rd2 French EP Nats

While the rest of the top European racers were at the LRP Masters this weekend, the French drivers had to run the 2nd round of their National championships at the amazing permanent indoor track in Rumilly. Qualifying saw Xray driver Cyril N’Diaye take the top qualifying spot ahead of second placed Corally racer Jeremy Delalondre while in the race Cyril could carry his form through the main event and take the win ahead of 2nd placed fellow Xray racer Aurelien Threhout with 3rd place going to Jeremy Delalondre.
