RC Maker X4 fan shrouds, turnbuckle tool & M17 triggers

RC Maker have presented their brand new 3D Pro Products beginning with their adjustable, direct mount fan shrouds for the Xray X4. Mounting directly to your motor mount, the shroud features adjustable positioning so you can adjust the gap of the fan from your motor for optimal cooling running different classes. Available in 30 & 40mm. They have also got a handy turnbuckle tool for Xray, which makes building turnbuckles a breeze for the X4, T4, X12, XB4 and XB2. Last but not least, there is some different sized trigger inserts for the Sanwa M17, so you can tune your trigger to your finger size and position for comfort and consistency whilst behind the wheel.

Featuring polished deep groove chromium steel inner and outer races and precision balls, their bearings aren’t just incredibly smooth, they’re incredibly durable too. 1up have selected a high ABEC rating to reduce slop in the drivetrain for improved feel and overall traction. Reedy Zappers DR 6600mAh SQ battery

Reedy’s new drag specific Zappers DR 6600mAh SQ-configuration batteries are now available. The SQ, or ‘square’ configuration was the brainchild of the Reedy engineering team as a superior alternative to saddle packs. While the design ran out of favour in the 1:10 off-road racing world, it shines in the drag racing world thanks to its low centre of gravity and wide footprint, which provide excellent stability without sacrificing performance. Zappers DR batteries use state-of-the-art LiPo chemistry with advancements in construction that result in improved power output and internal resistance without sacrificing durability. The pack features a 3.8V/cell nominal voltage, which means that the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V/cell. It is not a secret that more voltage equals more power, so there is no easier way to increase power and top speed than a higher charge voltage. But even when the typical 8.44V (4.22V/cell) charging limit is enforced, Zappers DR shine thanks to their inherently flat discharge curve, which results in higher voltage when multiple passes are required between charges.

Dakotah Phend joins Ultimate Racing

Modelix Racing is proud to announce that, through its US distributor Beach RC, Dakotah Phend is now a Factory Team Driver of the Ultimate Racing brand. Phend will be using the full line of products on all of his vehicles. The first race for the 2022 season will be at the world-renowned Dirt Nitro Challenge in Perris, CA this weekend. Phend will be using the M-3X in his nitro buggy and the M-5S in his Nitro Truggy. He will also be using all the tools, pit equipment and oils in shocks and diffs for all his rides.

Team Associated RC8B4 & B4e Team kit

Team Associated have released their new RC8B4 and B4e 1/8th buggies. Innovative front-end geometry with reduced kingpin inclination steering blocks places the wheel pivot in the centre of the front tire for increased stability and consistent steering through the entire steering throw. New gearboxes are specific to front and rear, with the front gearbox featuring a 3.5 deg. inclined pinion gear angle to straighten the centtr driveshaft for increased drivetrain efficiency and reduced phasing and vibration. The rear gearbox features a 0 deg. pinion gear angle and centre mounted rear chassis brace mount. A new front upper suspension arm design is designed to accommodate a wide range of flex and stiffness options with optional inserts to be made available for fine tuning flex and stiffness and will fit on the top or bottom of the arm. The arms also includes a moulded ‘wing’ insert for increased front-end downforce. There is also a new rear suspension and front lower suspension arm design too. A new rear wing mount has adjustable wing angle shims, significant strength improvements, an aerodynamic shape and extra clearance for shock position adjustment. The rear wing itself has more vertical fins for increased straight-line stability, a taller rear wickerbill height for increased downforce, increased strength in various areas to reduce bending fatigue and dimples on the backside as a template for cutout holes. Other updates include the rear chassis brace, new +1mm offset rear hub and for the gas version, a new fuel tank with many new features.

Christian Velez joins US Infinity team

Infinity/Ulti America have welcomed the current ROAR 1/8 Open Champion Christian Velez to the Infinity team under the Ulti America distribution. Chris brings with him his knowledge of setup and driving skills to the expanding Infinity team in the US for all customers. He will drive the IF18-2, IF15 and IF14-2 cars this season.

Xray X4 graphite upper decks

Xray have produced 3 new graphite upper decks for their X4 touring car. Offering up various flex options, there is a 1.6mm single piece upper deck as well as two separate split type upper decks for both the front and rear, made from 2mm carbon.
