LRP Carpet Wars, round 3

LRP Carpet Wars, round 3

Helger Racing have the full report on the recent running of round 3 of the LRP Carpet Wars. The event played host to 3 touring car classes, Stock, 19t and modified and in Stock it was Elliot Boots all the way, who managed to take both the TQ spot as well as win the overall event. In 19T, Mark Stiles took the win after a close battle with TQ Nathan Parker, who eventually finished 2nd, whilst in Modified class Glenn Doman was unfortunate after taking the TQ spot and one final leg win but a 9th place in leg 1 meant that he couldnt do better than 3rd and so Keven Brunsden took the overall win ahead of Andy Childs.

Diggity Design CD12

Diggity Designs have released official information on their new 3D12 and CD12 as well as some nice pictures. Last week we showed you the 3D12, so in the picture above you can see the prototype CD12 (the released car will be black metal and carbon), which allows the cells to be mounted sideways whilst the 3D12 allows for centrally mounted cells.

The new rear pivot is ultra light and easy to replace when/if broken. It uses a milled nylon 6/6 block and a TC4 shock bottom ballcup together with low profile hex ball. Both versions utilize the new ballcup pivot with CRC one-piece side links and rear spring design wich makes this the hottest pivot set-up available and only found here at Diggity Designs!

XRAY Column – Worldcup Review and NT1 Testing

XRAY Column

Juraj Hudy has his new column, the fifth in this series, now online. He discusses the GP Carpet World Cup event that saw Xray debutant Teemu Leino take the overall win, but more interestingly his talks about the NT1 and its development. Whilst no giving away any details of the actual car, he says that it has been 3 years in development and has been start from scratch on 3 occasions. The NT1 will make its official debut at the Winternats in February.

Since the first debut of the NT1 will be made at the Winternationals in USA, our strategy was to fully utilize the benefit of our new private racing tracks and so we built the exact same layout of the track which will be at the Winternationals, letting us run and practice at the same track layout and work on the basic set-up.
