Team Associated release more details on their RC8 Buggy

Team Associated

A lot of people have been worried that the upcoming RC8 buggy from Team Associated, that was officially announced last week, would be basically a copy of new owner Thunder Tigers current offering. Well according to a statement from Torrance Deguzman, who works with Associateds R&D team, the car will bear no resemblance to the TT buggy but will use its differentials in order to save costs as well as some minor linkage parts but that the rest of the buggy is completely new.

Speed Mind Carbon finish transmitter bag

Speed Mind Carbon finish transmitter bags

More products from Speed Mind, this time it is this carbon cloth effect transmitter carry bag. Available to suit most of the main brands of transmitter this case sports a foam insert that is cut out to hold the transmitter snuggly in place and protects it from bumps and bangs and there is also enough space for crystals and a spare receiver etc. The best thing about this bag though is the carbon effect finish on the outside, it looks really cool. The case comes with both a handle and a shoulder strap too.

UPDATE: It turns out that this product is actually quite old, but if you hadnt seen it before its new :)

This is the first time i have seen inside this engine and if you havent seen it yourself it will make for interesting viewing. As many know this engine by CRF for Team Orion is a very unconventional motor that features many patent pending technologies so its nice to see it up close.

Martin Hudy tests Xray NT1

Martin Hudy tests Xray NT1

Our partner site RC Forum have got these images of Martin Hudy, testing the NT1 at the Xray text track in Slovakia. Whilst nothing is given away by the pics, it is nice to see that there is a working prototype at least. The most interesting thing about these images is not really the car at all but the rather cool new Xray t-shirt that Martin is shown wearing, featuring that kind of blue flame thats on their boxes all over it.

Check out the 2 pictures in full size here.

EFRA Euros for Off road to be re scheduled?

EFRA

According to a report by Philip over at Neo Buggy, the European A Championships for 1/8th scale off road, that is being held in France this summer, is to be rescheduled due to a clash with the Tour de France. The problem is “A clash with the Tour de France in the proximity of the hosting city Auxerre would create massive problems with hotels etc.”. This seems to me to be just bad planning on behalf of the organisers to have just overlooked something like this. We will learn more soon and keep you informed.

RS Falcon release .28 truggy motor

Falcon truggy motor

Through Mirage Racing, RS Falcon have announced the release of this .28 truggy motor. It just shows the growing competitiveness of the truggy class when competition engine manufacturers are making motors specifically for it. This seems like a very nice motor, from the same stable as Ninja and Boss, and features some very cutting edge internals as you would expect from a motor with big names like GRP and Mario Rossi behind its design.

You can view more detailed pics and information here.
