Awesomatix A800FX Evo 1/10 FWD touring car

Based upon their class revolutionising A800FX platform and the feedback from racers around the globe, Awesomatix have designed and created the new A800FX Evo FWD Touring Car. The main goal was to further enhance the performance in all conditions and increase the setup range to suit all track conditions. Since weight distribution is the main setup tool for a FWD car, they re-worked the main chassis design and extended the wheelbase. This increase in wheelbase allows for further adjustability in weight bias and creates more forward traction. They also redesigned the rear of the car for better flex distribution. The steering unit is a completely new design, taking the concept of the proven single bell crank steering from the A800MMX and transplanting it into the A800FX Evo. The result is a servo holder with an integrated steering mount. This compact new system has less parts and is more reliable, particularly on un-prepped or dirty tracks. To get enough clearance for the movement of the bell crank, they needed to slightly modify the front bulkheads as well.

JConcepts curved pliers, side cutter & shock shaft tool

From JConcepts their new curved pliers are very handy to the organised minded racer looking to have a lot of functions in a single tool. The 5-piece design consists of the dual pinching jaws, aluminium handles and steel centre pivot screw. The curved plier ends are machined in steel, chamfered to reduce weight, and have inner grips to get ahold of just about any small part in RC. In the grip area resides an opening where round objects can be gripped and pinched where further work can be done. Near the pivot, an inner cutter is built-in so side cutting can be performed to detach small plastic from parts trees or simply cutting soft metals, solder, or other low resistance materials. Past the pivot, the JConcepts pliers have the handy 4.0 and 3.0 diameters which are for pinching shock shafts during builds or re-builds without unnecessarily marking important surfaces.

Xtreme Aerodynamics EP touring carbon fibre side plates

Similar to their 1/10th nitro class version, Xtreme Aerodynamics have introduced their side wing end plates for the 1/10 electric class. Made of glossy carbon fibre the profile allows the optimal flow on the upper side of the wing while cornering thus improving vertical load and making the car more predictable and precise. Designed using the most advanced CFD software it shows that the holes provide a more efficient wing downforce in high speed corners, thus improving stability at the apex and reducing the delay in corner entry.

Hudy 15g pure tungsten chassis weight

From Hudy come these precision machined 15g pure tungsten chassis weight. The weight is smaller than the brass weights and is easier to install for a cleaner layout. The super small weight results in lower CG comparing to standard weights. Produced from very rare and heavy pure tungsten material, not a typical tungsten mixture, it has the highest density structure and is the heaviest metal material which allows them to design the smallest size weights comparing to any other materials. Quick & easy attachment to chassis they are marked with weight value for easy identification.

R1 Wurks Mega & Micro capacitor for Digital 3 ESC

R1 Wurks introduce their new line of Mega and Micro capacitor for the Digital 3 ESC. The Mega cap was designed to maximise the performance of the Digital 3 ESC with more than 30x the capacity of the built in capacitors while delivering ultra low ESR performance. This means that these capacitors respond to the ESC ripple current faster for better overall performance. Our 60 grams Mega cap also balances the side by side weight of the ESC, while sitting on the same footprint. This acts as a balancing ballast next to the Digital-3. This means you can also optimise the side by side weight balance, for harder launches. The 30 grams Mega capacitor fills in the gap for space constrained setups. The 30 grams Mega capacitor delivers maximum capacity on a smaller footprint, low ESR and unrivalled performance to weight ratio. The Micro capacitor is an excellent improvement over the stock Digital-3 capacitor, this is a smaller footprint, lower profile and delivering 3x the capacity of the built in Digital 3 capacitor. All the new capacitors will ship with a custom built cradle made of carbon fibre nylon filament and 3M very high bond tape.

JConcepts RM2 tuning screwdriver & wing button

From JConcepts and Ryan Maifield’s RM2 collaboration is this engine tuning screwdriver. The aluminium handle is custom machined, red anodised and spiced with 2nd operation silver highlighting to bring some luster to the pit area. The top of the wrench is capped with injection moulded JC plug and the handle itself is topped off with laser etched JConcepts logo for authenticity. The tip of any wrench is mandatory for function and control. The spring steel flat blade screwdriver is made of multiple pieces and pre-assembled. The tip slides into a sleeve which is secured with beefy set screw located on the adapter itself. The tip is precision ground for shape, angle, and thickness for the all-important engagement into carburettor adjustment screws. The entire steel tip assembly slides into the handle and snaps into place courtesy of the magnet located in the handle. The magnet has enough holding power to maintain position during use and the occasional drop and pop during normal usage. When it is time to pack-up the pits or drop the footprint, simply pull the tip assembly out and place alongside the handle in the toolbox or bag.

Xray T4 CVD BB driveshaft & gear diff adapter

From Xray for the T4 is this new CVD BB driveshaft 50mm & gear diff adapter. The CVD BB bearing drive shafts improve off-power steering and rotation, but decrease rear traction and stability. Recommended for use in high-traction conditions and for tracks with many hairpin corners. Set includes complete drive shaft only and must be used with optional CNC-machined CVD BB drive shaft adapter made from 7075 aluminium and black coated, it is a direct replacement for the stock version.
