Ronnefalk and Bertin part ways after 15-years

It is hard to imagine one without the other at any major international 1:8 Offroad race but former World Champion David Ronnefalk and his long standing mentor & mechanic Adrien Bertin are to part ways after 15-years.  Bertin himself a double World Championship in nitro onroad, has played an integral part in the career of the Swedish driver.   Red RC first witnessed this partnership, that would become a world recognised force, in action the EFRA European Championships in Austria fresh from Ronnefalk having become the European B Champion.  Since then the duo have gone on to win around the world with them achieving the ultimate dream when Ronnefalk took the World title in Las Vegas in 2016.  A partnership that started through Kyosho and Orion engines and successfully moved to HB Racing, but Ronnefalk’s latest move to Xray after a brief stint with Mayako has seen the duo a somewhat less formidable force and now as the saying goes ‘all good things must come to an end ‘ with Ronnefalk making the announcement on his social media and concluding ‘I wouldn’t be in the position I am today if it wasn’t for you Adrien.  I can’t thank you enough’

RC Maker SP1 Touring Car production parts image

It’s a car that has been generating a lot of interest in Electric Touring Car circles and now RC Maker has published the first official photo of some of the production parts that will make up the new SP1 1:10 Touring Car kit.  On its Facebook page, RC Maker gave an update with the image saying, ‘We’re inching closer to the release of our brand new SP1 Touring Car and SP1-F FWD!  We will be presenting both cars on the 1st of August 2024, and at the same time we will open up Pre-Orders both directly and through our global distributor network! We will provide an estimated global release/shipping date when both cars are presented on the 1st of August!  Until then, enjoy a peek at some production parts…’  A passion project of international racer Ryan Maker, who is behind the well known Australian carbon fibre parts and accessories producer RC Maker, he added on his own social media, ‘It’s hard to contain my excitement having all the production parts coming together!! Many revisions, prototypes, samples and tolerance adjustments.  Leaving no stone unturned in making the SP1 and SP1-F the absolute best cars I can. I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved so far.  It’s taken longer than I expected, because being my first ever car, there has been a lot of learning that’s had to happen!  But that’s a part of it, and possessing this valuable knowledge will only improve everything I design and produce in future!  Both cars will be presented on August 1st, and Pre-Orders will commence from us directly and our global distributors.  Thanks again for all the support and interest!  We’re almost there…’
