MWX Performance 1:28 Wheels

Texas based 1:28 specialists MWX Performance has announced a number of new sets of racing wheels available in two different materials.  The PC based material wheel is stiffer for high grip tracks but can not be re used once the tires wear out while the NB material wheel is softer but can be soaked in acetone to remove your tyres and re-purpose the wheels.  Each wheel is double offset, by mounting the tire backwards you gain 1mm of offset per side. Precise mould process eliminates out of round and wobbly wheels with the wheels available in 19×8.5- 0/1 offset, 19×11 -0/1 offset, 19×14-0/1 offset and 20×11 – 3/4 offset.

Exotek B7 Heavy Duty Alloy Front Bulkhead

California’s Exotek Racing has released an upgrade heavy duty 7075 alloy front bulkhead for Team Associated’s RC10B7 1:10 2WD Buggy.  Receiving their popular 2 colour anodising treatment, the bulkhead has been intricately machined to reduce its weight to only 15.5 grams, just 4.3grams more than stock, while insuring its heavy duty construction.

Infinity IF18-3 optional SS battery plate

Infinity has release a new optional stainless steel battery plate for its World Championship winning IF18-3 1:8 Onroad chassis.  Stainless steel material offers supple flex characteristics while adding extra weight for improved stability on high grip surfaces.  This option part promotes mild steering characteristics.

Lens Bodies ‘Levante’ 1:8 Offroad body

Italian body shell manufacturer Lens Bodies has released their first 1:8 Offroad body with the announcement of the ‘Levante’.  For both nitro and electric buggy it was Born in collaboration with Elliot Boots and tested on multiple tracks by Marco Baruffolo and Robert Battle.  The Levate will give you more feeling with the front-end, an uncompromised stability on bumpy tracks, and “that” feeling on air-time, giving you the ability to master your buggy on every jump! It is available in 3 different weights, to match any track’s characteristics.  The Levante Standard is between 63 to 68 grams (ready to race), while the Light is in the range of 49 to 54 grams.  The Levante Ultralight weights 43 to 48 grams.  While maintaining the recognisable lines of the Levante design, Lens Bodies have ensured that the body can be easily mounted on all reference buggies on the market.

Giaimo crowned Italian GT Champion at Vallelunga

Schepis Model driver Rosario Giaimo is the new AMSCI Italian 1:8 GT National Champion after taking his second consecutive win at the season finale held at Miniautodromo Vallelunga over the weekend.  Winner of Round 2 at the Naxos World track in Sicily in May, Giaimo would qualify second at Round 3, the TQ going to the Genius Racing chassis of defending Champion & World Championship Top Qualifier Alex D’angelo.  In the 45-minute final, Giaimo would lay down the fastest lap the race to take the victory from newly crowned European Champion Natanaele Senesi.  Having qualified a lowly P8, Senesi was just 4-seconds off Giaimo with D’angelo completing the podium.  In the GTE category it was Senesi who wrapped up his 5th consecutive Italian National Championship title.

Shepherd Velox V8.2 M0.8 18T/23T pinion options

Following requests from racers around the world Zen-Racing / Team Shepherd have introduced two new pinions to help compliment the current range on offer for its Velox V8.2 1:8 Onroad Chassis which enjoyed victory at the latest round of the Euro Nitro Series over the weekend in the hands of Lars Hoppe.  Machined to the highest standard these two new 18T & 23T options will give racers greater flexibility when setting up the drive train to help maximise performance.

Team Associated DC10 Drift Car Kit

Having teased a new kit release last week, Team Associated has announced its entry into competitive RC Drifting with the release of its new DC10 RWD 1:10 Drift Chassis.  Since 1964, Team Associated has proven to be the leader in competition racing.  With its roots in onroad racing, although it exited the competitive Touring Car racing scene at number of years ago, the American brand said it made sense that their Area 51 engineers would develop the ultimate RC drift car with the DC10.  In RC drifting, vehicle balance is key and with the many suspension and chassis tuning options on the DC10, drivers can set up their car with precision.  The DC10 allows changes in camber, caster, and kingpin inclination (KPI), as well as motor and battery position.
