GForce MX-4 Forever brings Hirosaka 2001 4WD Buggy design to fruition

Japanese manufacturer GForce has teamed up with one of the all time greats of RC Masami Hirosaka and his father Masaaki to bring to fruition a car that World history previously prevented from racing on the World’s greatest stage and from going into production.  Limited to just 100 individual numbered & assembled cars,  the MX-4 Forever is the car that Masaaki had designed & developed for his son to take on the 2001 IFMAR Electric Offroad World Champion which as a result of the 911 attacks never took place.  After the disappointment of failing to qualify for the 1999 World title race, this iconic duo were determined to retake the title and after many prototypes they finalised this design in 2001 but it didn’t get to race.  The Hirosakas chose not to participate in the 2002 and 2003 World Championship, and in 2004, the Hirosaka team disbanded when Masaaki decided to pursue his own path.  Therefore, the opportunity to participate in the World Championship with stealth car was lost forever.  Now, twenty years later, the legendary Offroad car which looked to never see the light of day again has been revived.  Each MX-4 FOREVER is present in an exclusive paulownia box produced domestically in Japan by the established Japanese company “Kitamura Mokkou Co., Ltd.,” with a history of 76 years.  The Masaaki’s graphics on the box are the work of his younger brother, Mitsumi Hirosaka and each of the 100 people who get to buy one of these kits will receive a personally signed photo from the legendary father-and-son Masaaki and Masami.   This makes the MX-4 Forever a truly special addition to any RC collection.  Set to go on sale from 12:00 on Saturday, June 1st, Japanese time, GForce have already had huge interest from collectors with this unique release expected to sell out fast.

Awesomatix A800 Touring Car new parts release

Awesomatix has just released a number of new parts for its A800 1:10 Electric Touring Car platform.   A new Flex Damper set provides an additional torsional flex of the car’s end where it is installed.  It also provides the adjustable damping of the chassis’s deformations caused by the torsional flex.  The damping level of the FD set is adjusted by choice of the silicone oil inside the damper and by choice of the pivoting hole on the arm of the FD rotor.  It is recommended for track conditions where the additional chassis’ flex is needed – usually it is the low traction bumpy tracks and when your available chassis is too stiff for given conditions.  The recommendation for initial fluid in FD Set is  50K…100K silicone oil.  Oil filling method is the same as for the A12 rear damper – put few drops of the oil on the bottom of AM282, keep AM282 upright for several minutes until all oil reaches the bottom of cavity, insert DT251 into AM282 slowly full way under pushing force and use a needle to provide the excessive oil outing.
