Following his announcement earlier this week that he was retiring from nitro competition after 15-years, former nitro World Champion Dominic Greiner is set for a electric touring car race program with the news he has rejoined his former sponsor Serpent. Greiner won his 2016 World 1:10 Nitro Touring Car World title with Serpent and will now try his hand at electric racing with the manufacturers X20/24 electric touring car. A 400-metre track, and using a 3.5 turn motor with a 200A ORCA ESC for power, Matsukura completed his single flying lap of the heavily banked track in 12.1 seconds. Like Keirin racing, he was led out on his first lap by a Toyota Supra bodied pace car complete with flashing roof lights before making his speed attempt on lap 2. The team at The Dirt Racing has announced the 2024 Silver State Indoor Championship will take place from May 1st to 5th at the South Point Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. With the annual event having attracted a massive 1100 entires in 2023, Marco Barufollo taking the big win, legendary track builder Joey Christensen has announced that the 2024 edition will be capped at 900 entires.
