SMJ spur gear spacer set

SMJ have introduced their new spur gear spacer set that is useable for a range of vehicles. The set includes a 0.1mm and a 0.2mm spacer that can be used to adjust the position of the spur gear as well as spur gear play on the mount. The metal spacers are precision manufactured, they come with size markings for easy recognition and are stackable if needed.

Jerome Sartel doubles at Coupe de France

The Limousin Mini Racing Car club hosted the Coupe de France race this past weekend in 1/8th E-Buggy and Truggy classes. In the E-Buggy Coupe de France class it was Jerome Sartel with the overall TQ and he also brought home the win after the quadruple A-main events from Jean-Pierrick Sartel in 2nd with the two ending tie on points. Theo Lemaire came in 3rd overall. Over in the Truggy class it was again Jerome Sartel with the overall TQ after a clean sweep in the qualifiers and he also swept the four A-main legs for another overall win to round out a perfect weekend. Baptiste Menager followed on the runner-up spot as Roger Manigot completed the top 3.

Marcus Kaerup doubles at Danish EP Off-road Nats Rd3

Round 3 of the Danish Electric Off-road Nationals was hosted by the Tinglev club this past weekend. Young Team Associated driver, Marcus Kaerup was the man to beat in the 2WD class as he took the overall TQ from Frederik Hovgaard (Yokomo) in 2nd. The triple A-mains saw Marcus taking wins in the opening two legs for an early overall win from Frederik on the runner-up spot. Jonas Kaerup (Team Associated) would round out the top 3 podium result. Over in 4WD Buggy it was again Marcus with the overall TQ and pole position from Frederik in 2nd. With wins in A1 and A2 Marcus would secure his second win this weekend with Frederik coming in 2nd again and Schumacher’s Mike Hansen completing the top 3.

RC Race Prep M3 low-profile screws

RC Race Prep have introduced their new M3 low-profile stainless steel screws. They sport a slight chamfer from the head to the shaft, centralising screw holes and locating components. They are also very effective in keeping the top deck located during a roll or impact minimising the chance of a tweaked chassis. The screws are available in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm length and they come in 20-piece packs.

Pro-Line Avenger HP 1/8th buggy street tyres

Pro-Line have introduced their new Avenger HP belted tyres for 1/8th buggies. Pro-Line has developed the technology to mould a high-performance herringbone weave pattern belt inside of the Avenger HP. The belted street tyres were specifically made for 1/8th scale buggies that love to go fast and will not balloon or expand during use. The Avenger HP tyres are pre-mounted on Mach 10 black wheels so drivers don’t have to worry about gluing their own tyres or waiting for them to dry. The Mach 10 features ten aggressive spokes that will make the buggy look fast even sitting still. The Mach 10 wheels have a 17mm hex and are made from a single moulded piece of high-quality nylon proudly produced by Pro-Line in the USA.

Patrick Hofer wins at Swiss Buggy Championship

The second round of the Swiss 1/8th Buggy Championship was hosted by the MBLR Gland club last weekend. HB Racing’s Patrick Hofer and Jeremy Pittet battled it out for the overall TQ with Patrick ultimately holding the upper hand while Jeremy had to settle for 2nd after the tie-breaker. The 45-minute A-main event was a close battle up front with Patrick taking the win some 15 seconds in front of Xray’s Joachim Kallen. Jeremy Pittet came in 3rd overall, a lap down.

Canas & Figueiredo win at International Buggy Challenge

The International Buggy Challenge was held in Barcelos, Portugal this past weekend, attracting some of Europe’s fastest 1/8th off-road drivers. The Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz’s Juan Carlos Canas with the overall TQ from Mugen’s Robert Batlle on the runner-up spot. In the main final Juan Carlos would continue to excel as he took the win a lap in front of Robert while Mugen’s Berkan Kilic came in 3rd overall. Joao Figueiredo and Reno Savoya completed the top 5 result.

Dominic Greiner takes German 200mm title

The MCC Rhein-Ahr club hosted the 2020 German 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring Nationals this past weekend. Capricorn’s Melvin Diekmann took the overall TQ some 0.4 seconds in front of Dominic Greiner with Toni Gruber sitting in 3rd overall after the qualifiers. In the 45-minute main final, that started on a wet track, it was Dominic who would take the win some two laps in front of Shepherd’s Toni Gruber as Thilo Tödtmann (Capricorn) rounded out the top 3 result another three laps down.
