Hara back for 2025 Philippine Masters

After making his first major international offroad final in many years & claiming a hugely popular podium at last year’s Philippine Masters, Atsushi Hara is returning to Asia’s biggest annual 1:8 Offroad race.  Hara would lead for almost half of the 1-hour main at the famed Circulo Verde Race Track in Manila before the former World Champion was passed by current World Champion Davide Ongaro.  Eventually taking 3rd place in the nitro buggy final, the legend of the sport was truly rejuvenated by the whole experience of the weekend.  With the 13th edition of the Philippine Masters once again the second round of Scotty Ernst’s Asian Buggy Championships, which this year is boosted by title sponsor from Cayote who are also one of Hara’s main sponsors, on his return to the race Hara said, “I am very happy to be going to Masters again this year.  The Philippine Masters is my favorite 1/8 buggy race because of the great organization by the race director Scotty Ernst with his team, the great facilities, and the great people.  I am also excited to be able to compete at a high level with the world’s best drivers like Ongaro and other top drivers from around the world.”  The Philippine Masters takes place from April 30 -May 4th with Ongaro going for his 5th win of the race.

Arrowmax A800R Spring Steel Chassis Conversion Kit

Continuing with the release of it brand-new Electric Touring Car series steel chassis conversion kits, Arrowmax has released a kit for the Awesomatix A800R.  This high-performance chassis is made from 1.2mm ultra-hardened spring steel and features advanced PVD coating, significantly enhancing its durability and corrosion resistance.  To achieve weight reduction while maintaining strength, the chassis incorporates a cleverly implemented honeycomb pattern to reduce weight.  Precision manufacturing ensures the flatness of the chassis, meeting high-performance demands. RC Maker SP1 Option Parts


Australian electric touring car manufacturer RC Maker has released a number of new parts for its SP1.  The new parts come after extensive testing across multiple countries with varying conditions, surfaces and grip levels and feedback from drivers with different levels of experience and classes.  The release includes a new Short -2mm Front Wheelbase Set.  This option gives a slightly more docile initial feeling, followed by more mid corner steering and rotation, helping the car hug the apex of tight corners.   Also new is a Split Horizontal or Vertical Body Mount Set which allow for tuning of the rear bulkhead flex.  SP1 owners also get three new Fibreglass Top Decks options, one front and two different cuts of rear decks.  The 2mm fibreglass material is softer then the carbon alternative and designed to allow more flex generally coupled with the optional Hard 2.2mm carbon chassis or Alu chassis increasing flex generating more traction.

Invisible Speed Complete Setup Station Pair

Invisible Speed, the platform created in 2020 by Joseph Quagraine to share over two decades of car set-up knowledge through books and online courses, has released its own complete Setup Station Pair, with Measurement Plate, Droop Blocks and Droop Gauge.   The tool set is made for 1:8 Nitro and Electric Buggies, and includes many unique features, solving common problems, as well as improving the experience of setting up your car. Features include Camber Angle Wheel Plates that are wide enough to allow for full lock, in order to measure Ackermann, and Bump Steer at different wheel angles.  These Camber Angle Wheel Plates rest on ball bearings, allowing for smooth stick free operation, allowing the car to settle at ride height.  Droop Gauge with 0 as axle in line with bottom of chassis. Droop Blocks have space for balancing pins, holes to hold shocks or diffs while assembling, holders for soldering battery connectors, and a quick gauge for measuring droop with tyres on your car, 60-70mm steel ruler method.

JConcepts Cougar LD3 P2 Body

JConcepts’ P2 body shell is now available for the Schumacher Cougar LD3 1:10 2WD buggy. A staple in the Florida company’s product line, the Punisher body shell design, started its time in offroad during the 2010 racing season. Over the course of a decade, the design team along with the racers have helped push the envelope and re-invent the Punisher along the way. The P2 design arrived just in time for the IFMAR Worlds in 2017 where the team tested and confirmed performance characteristics on the Xiamen, China track surface. The body arrives as clear polycarbonate with protective film and is available in standard and lightweight formed thickness. A popular and versatile JConcepts decal sheet is included while a simple instruction sheet covers the basics for new or inexperienced painters.

Matsukura confirmed for Philippine Masters debut

Infinity’s Naoto Matsukura has been confirmed to make his Philippine Masters debut later this month at the 13th running of Asia’s biggest annual 1:8 Offroad race meeting.  The second round of the Cayote sponsored Asian Buggy Championships, Matsukura got his first taste of the championship last year when he complete at the season finale in Indonesia where Infinity team-mate Kouki Kato took the win.  Now the multiple World Champion will tackle the famed Circulo Verde Race Track in Manila which is the work of track designer and accomplished offroad racer Edward Sio.  Commenting in his Philippine Masters debut Matsukura said, ‘I’m excited for the first time to join the Philippine Masters!  It’s also my first time going to the Philippines.  I’m looking forward to racing at such a great event, and having some good battles with the top drivers.’

Infinity Tool Sets

Infinity has released a number of tool sets specific to its various kits.  Offering four options the tool sets are listed for 1F18 1:8 Onroad car, IF15 1:10 Nitro Touring Car, 1:10 Electric Touring car and the IFB8 1:8 Buggy.  Each tool set includes the tools needed to assemble each kit in a hard compact tool case.   Also as part of the Japanese company’s latest release is a new long version Hex Wrench Driver Series lineup.
The new type is 20 mm longer than the previous one, allowing for a wider range of use.  Adding of the range line up is an Exhaust spring tools for GP car assembly and maintenance.

Takashima D-13 Grease Series

Hong Kong’s Takashima D-13 has released a new line of racing greases.  The four greases on offer include Anti-wear grease, Diff-grease, Ball diff grease, and Shock O-ring grease meeting the full range of grease racers needs.  All products have undergone extensive testing and have delivered excellent results in various racing conditions. Easy to carry and store, each jar contain 5g of grease.
