Payne wins 1:12 International Grand Prix

Schumacher’s Ollie Payne won the 1:12 International Grand Prix in Italy over the weekend ahead of team-mate Michal Orlowski. Fresh from his double victory at the Masters of Foam race in Belgium a week earlier, the British driver travelled to RC Landia in Scandiano where we would again dominate the action. Topping three of the 6 rounds of qualifying, Payne secured the overall TQ ahead of 2022 European Champion Orlowski who posted two TQ runs. Lovely makes it 2 from 2 in Schumacher Winter Series

Round 2 of the Schumacher Winter Series presented by the Louth Radio Control Car Club took place over the weekend with Chris Lovely taking the win in the hotly contested Contact RC 17.5 class. In qualifying Lovely topped the first three qualifiers before having issues in Q3 which was topped by Alex Brocklebank securing the Schumacher. Balestri back on top of the World in Japan

…behind Balestri after the one hour of intense racing. Top Qualifier Simon Kurzbuch, who lead for the first 10-minutes until his first tyre stop, would complete the podium for Mugen in a dramatic end of race battle with Infinity’s Jesse Davis that led to a long delay in the prize presentations as it was reviewed by the officials. Takahata to defend World title from P3 in Japan

Bernadzik is Australian Champion

…part in this year’s Nationals. While Ward-McBride would win his Semi from Dexter, an unlucky run for Bernadzik would see him finish 5th putting him 12th on the 15 car grid for the final. Coming from the back it wouldn’t take Bernadzik long to get to the front and with Ward-McBride retiring after 12-minutes, he cruised to the win by a comfortable 4-lap margin over the Tekno of Caleb Noble and Sworkz of Christian Wolhuter. Payne defends double Masters of Foam titles

Ollie Payne has successfully defended both his Masters of Foam titles, making it back to back wins at the annual Belgian event in both Mod and 13.5 Stock. In Friday and Saturday’s qualifying the Schumacher driver claimed overall TQ honours for both classes and was able to carry that form into Sunday’s triple finals. With Xray’s Alexander Hagberg lining up P2 on the grid, Payne opened Mod with a win but A2 ended in a DNF with Hagberg taking the win to set the stage for an A3 showdown between the pair. Double TQ for Payne at Masters of Foam

Schumacher’s Ollie Payne has pulled off the TQ double at the annual Masters of Foam event in Belgium. The British driver, who is the reigning Champion of what has become one of the big 1:12 races in Europe, dominated Modified qualifying topping all five rounds. Behind him Xray’s former World Champion Alexander Hagberg secured P2 on the grid with Marcus Mobers completing the Top 3 for Sunday’s triple A-Main.
