JConcepts L8D “decked” lightweight Late Model body

JConcepts have announced the release of their popular L8D “decked” Late Model oval racing body shell in a new lightweight version. The 10” wide body is capable of a drop-fit on an assortment of Late Model chassis, and its styling starts up front with a heavily dropped nose pointing the vehicle in the correct direction. Super tall “power rails” line the front fenders allowing corner tracking stability. The “deck” treatment starts with a mock driver cockpit, then multiple cut-in lovers strengthen the deck while an inner transition starts giving the L8D an inner spoiler to ramp up with. The offset and separate cab bolts into position with included hardware and once positioned, provides the high-speed through-all stability with open windshield and rear window design. An asymmetrical designed cab for high-speed left turning has the built-in ability to trim-out the front, rear and side windows for scale appearance and performance. The rear jump window can be left in place, made clear with included window masks for added deflection and to strengthen the cab. The flat rear deck incorporates indented channels promoting flow upward to the large rear spoiler and side-dams. The innovative side-panels of the body feature recessed sections, this accomplishes a multitude of design goals in the process. Centered in the bonnet, a protection shroud for the mock air cleaner chiseled into the hood of the new body looks very “Late Model”. Included in each package, the pre-trimmed rear spoiler with hardware is one of the most trick items on the market. The slotted side-dams are ready to go and feature an adjustment section of 3 positions for the rear spoiler angle. The rear spoiler is cut, bent and ready to position on the back of the body with the included 9 pieces of light-weight hardware. The high-performance body shell includes clear main-body and detached and separate cab with trim-able windows. High-quality window mask, instruction and decal sheet is also included.

Klinik RC Cat L1 Max Forward battery cradle system

Available now from Klinik RC is their new Max Forward battery cradle system for the Schumacher L1 and L1 Evo 4WD buggy. Designed and tested with top Schumacher factory driver Michal Orlowski, on-track back-to-back testing with Klinik RC’s standard forward battery cradle netted 0.1 to 0.2 quicker laps at the famous Titan RC raceway in Poland. Testers saw faster corner speed, more rotation mid corner and better jump and landing performance. The set works very well in all conditions and on all surfaces as the designers pushed the battery as far forward as possible, making the set the ticket on high-grip surfaces to squeeze that last tenth out of each lap and every corner. The set works with shorty batteries up to 24.5mm thick, including all LCG packs and it is CNC-milled from 3mm carbon fibre in-house at Klinik RC in the US. Included in the set come two carbon fibre battery cradles, 3x14mm screws, hold down rings as well as decals.
