This past weekend was the sixth round of the Worksop Masters, the penultimate event of this current series. Many people were thinking about their overall championship positions as the series draws to a close. The race format was round by round qualifying, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position. However, these plans were changed slightly with 2wd as the UK storms swept across the Country. …Ollie would be glued to the back of David’s car but was unable to make a pass before David settled into a rhythm and pulled a small gap that he then maintained to take the win ahead of Ollie in Second. Third place would see Matt Varah come under pressure from Adam Mackman and Mark Stiles who qualified fourth and fifth respectively. Capricorn have announced that their driver, 2016 World Champion Dominic Greiner will use One Engines. The former O.S. team driver said, ‘I’m super happy to be a part from the One team from now on. I could test the engines already last year and was surprised how well the engines and exhausts are working on the track. ETS Rd4 took place at Chuck’s Raceway in Neumünster/GER last weekend. The ETS crew organised the event under strict Covid-19 rules, and everybody was vaccinated or recovered and an additional daily test was responsible for the maximum safety of all participants. The race saw 220 entries in six classes and the event started with a free practice day on Thursday, followed by 4 rounds of qualifying and triple finals for everybody. Last weekend was round 3 of EssexCarpetClash4 and the drivers arrived to find a track layout that was to test a lot of people’s skills on track. A little more technical from previous rounds and included a cross over, but getting the lap correct would pay dividends on the timing sheet. In 2wd, Ellis Stafford found his feet easily taking the 1st 2 rounds and looked comfortable to take pole. The car sports inboard shock absorbers, removing the need for shock towers, with the aim of lowering the car’s centre of gravity. They have been doing extensive testing with a lot of 3d printed parts and hope to move forward with the project following some addition testing around the UK and completing some final design tweaks.
