Force RC Muckraker & Epidemic 1/8th BL trucks

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new Force RC 1/8th scale Muckraker truggy and Epidemic monster truck. Both build on a rugged 3mm aluminium chassis for strength and durability while large capacity 16mm oil-filled shock absorbers ensure exceptional bump and jump handling. The shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain provides great acceleration and performance in all environments which is further helped by sealed differentials and full ball-bearing support. Pillow ball front suspension flexibility and 10kg metal-gear steering servos ensure steering authority even in demanding track conditions and the factory-installed brushless motor and speed controller are capable of speed up to 65km/h. Both trucks were developed for the use with a single 4S or dual 2S LiPo battery packs and the Muckraker truggy comes with a high-downforce rear wing while the Epidemic monster truck sports a rear wheelie bar for improved control during stunts and bashing.

Daniel Kobbevik takes double Norwegian 1/8 Buggy title

The third round of the Norwegian 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Hvervenbukta Raceway in Oslo. The weekend started out with heavy rain on Friday afternoon, so track was ready for a boat race, not cars. Thankfully the weather got better so limited practice was possible before the race start on Saturday morning. Saturday kicked off with Daniel Kobbevik taking a solid TQ in the opening Nitro qualifier, and he would carry on that way so take the overall TQ after the four qualifying rounds. The closest driver was Mugen driver Hans Magne Berg, who had a really good pace this weekend. One more qualifier was held on Sunday morning and Daniel won that one as well. This weekend was especially important for Daniel to get into the final in both classes to take the overall wins, since the last race is on the same date as the 1/8th Electric Euros and the start of the EOS.
