…can confirm that the 2022 1/8th offroad World Championships will be held at the Redovan track in Spain. FAMAR was to be next in line to host the World Championships, in Brazil in 2020 but the worldwide pandemic prevented that from happening and now EFRA have stepped in to host the event next year after what will be a 4 year break. The Redovan track has previously host European Championships, the final Neo race, as well as countless National championship events and is known for its very long and technical layout, perfect to test the best drivers in the World….

With the track at Halifax being recently re-surfaced drivers arriving for round three of the BRCA Touring Car series were keen to test the new grip levels but the British weather scuppered that as rain fell for the entire day. Getting the best out of his Xray and mastering the wet conditions Olly Jefferies was fastest in all four rounds of qualifying and took a comfortable TQ. …guys at the front with many different chassis being used in the Nitro class such as Serpent, Capricorn, Shepherd, Mugen, ARC and Xray. The Electric class is still being dominated by Capricorn and Serpent but was good to see Bob Harley running Xray. Around 40 drivers were competing at this event. …the early pace with Infinity IF14. Cory Record came up just short to match Dave’s TQ, but he was having a tough time with this track. He was able to come up with a last min setup change to put himself 2nd overall. Cory Parsons, the last round winner, had a bad last round of qualifier and had to settle for 3rd. Last weekend was the first race of the new-for-2021 GT Series (GTS) at the fantastic Vallelunga RC track in Italy. With a lot of drivers attending the event from mid week to test and learn the track it was building up to be a great race. The Xray team had a strong team present with Bruno Coelho and Martin Bayer heading the entry, and from qualifying onwards Coelho was dominant, taking the TQ spot in both Nitro and Electric with his GTX and GTXE respectively. This past weekend saw the world famous Psycho Nitro Blast in White Pine, Tennessee at the Walters State Expo Center. A very unique event put on every year by the Racetime Entertainment crew, this year’s event was again a spectacle to behold as well as an endurance test with a huge number of entries and practice being run over a continuous 24 period meaning racers got little rest as they dialled their cars in.
