Team Associated have introduced the laydown transmission conversion set for the B6D 2WD buggy. Including everything needed to convert the B6D from a standup configuration to laydown, the set comes with new gearbox halves, blue anodised motor plate, idler gear and gearbox brace. The laydown transmission will lower the vehicle’s overall centre of gravity, reducing polar moment and thus increasing corner speed in higher grip conditions. Italian company Mon-Tech have introduced a special servo and steering mount for the Xray X1. The option part, called SSS which is for “servo, steering, suspension” is meant to allow better steering response, faster cornering and improved bump handling. Made from aluminium the brace takes both the steering servo and the steering bellcrank to connect them with the front part of the chassis using the upper camber and castor plate rather then attaching them to the main chassis plate, to create a “floating” design. The BRCA have announced its calendar of events for the 2015/16 National championship for 1/12th scale electric LMP cars. The championships will be contested over five indoor rounds on carpet, with each driver’s best 3 scores counting towards their final placing in the series. During the season the Championship will visit several of the established venues, but also a couple of new ones.
