JConcepts 2014 Chevy 1500 MT single cab body

Coming from JConcepts is their new 2014 Chevy 1500 MT single cab monster truck body shell. Designed for 12” to 12.5” trucks the shell offers the unmistakable Chevy single cab design with the exterior design blends a strong and study look while refining the details reserved for modern aesthetics. The muscle was chiseled into the tyre openings while the aerodynamics remain for the truck to hold its own in a straight-line. A twin-port grille, full-width bumper and dual power hump hood create a strong presence, which is carried through in sculpted body sides and fender flares. The grille area has not been compromised and accepts the detailed JConcepts decal sheet and includes two different grille and headlight options. The front fascia is strong and while the large tire openings swoop through, the bumper has recessed areas for side-marker lights and air inlet. The tailgate is rigid in appearance with a slight undercut that is so common on the Chevrolet trucks. The 2014 Silverado’s bed features a slight recess which painters can leave clear or detail to their specification on any build. No race truck would be complete without a bobbed rear bedside to give racers extra clearance and an unmistakable visual rake. Each package includes window mask, new 2014 generation Chevy Silverado specific decal sheet and clear polycarbonate body.

Daniel Kobbevik sweeps Norwegian Buggy Nats Rd4

The fourth round of the Norwegian Electric Buggy Nationals was held at the SAS Club’s Racingland track in Midgard near Sandefjord. The up and coming club in the land of the Vikings offered a rough and challenging dirt track and although the weather forecast didn’t look too promising it would stay dry all the time. In 2WD, Xray driver Daniel Kobbevik was over 2.2 sec faster on his best lap, and he would be the only driver to score a 9-laps run in the qualifiers. The track was bumpy, slippery and challenging, so it was a great challenge for all drivers. The wind made also some of the jumps pretty difficult to handle. After the qualification was done, Daniel had TQ´d all rounds with the 2nd place going to Thorbjørn Døhler with his Xray while Øystein Døhler put his Team Associated in 3rd.

Danish Electric Off-road Champs Rd5 – Report

Round 5 of the Danish Electric Off-road Championship was held at the TiMo Tinglev Moedelklub track, close to the Danish-German border. The track is a small high-grip Astro tuft track with super low lap times of around 16 seconds. The 2WD race was a close affair right from start. With the weather forecast promising sun the whole day, it still started to rain just before the start of race but thankfully stopped again. In the dry Q1 it was Jesper Rasmussen who topped round 1 in front of Marcus Kærup, with Jesper scoring the only 19-lap run. Q2 was a tricky round with rain in heat 1 but it dried up for the top heat and the grip level was super high. Jesper Rasmussen traction-rolled his buggy a bit too much which let Marcus TQ Q2, meaning an open battle for round 3. Marcus and Jesper showed great pace again but the previous heat saw a short rain shower so Jesper was on wet tyres while Marcus and rest of the field was on dry tyres. Jesper was a little bit slower on the dry track, allowing the other drivers to catch up as Marcus topped the timing board but lost it after a crash, promoting Jesper into the lead to take the round TQ and with it the overall TQ in front of Marcus and Frederik Hovgaard.

Agama A215SV Performance Pack

Nemo Racing have announced the soon release of the Performance Pack for the A215SV 1/8th off-road buggy. The set includes a new 1-piece lightweight wing mount with adjustable height for quick and easy adjustment to the downforce being created by the wing. Also new is a 5mm aluminium rear shock tower with updated shape and wing mount multi-fitment holes to house the new wing mount securely to the buggy. Updated A and B blocks with the same roll centre as the previous block but a new mounting position and shape allow for the front differential to be lifted by 4mm, this gives a better balance to the front and rear of the buggy whilst now also allowing for a quick release of the front diff from the gearbox casing. The new 5mm aluminium front shock tower with simplified upper link position and a 4mm lower shock mount height factor in the raised gearbox, maintaining the original shock positions when using the included composite front gearbox inserts for the new front gearbox position. Other new parts include new aluminium steering posts with a 4mm higher mounting position for the raised steering rack assembly and a new 4mm aluminium front chassis brace spacers brings up the front chassis brace position to the new front diff height. The kit is rounded out by 2mm aluminium steering link spacers to correct the steering link angle with the new steering rack height and also included are new 18mm countersunk M4 screws for the front gearbox assembly. The performance pack will become available by end of August.
