Bezerk RC carbon fibre motor spacer

Bezerk RC have announced the release of their new carbon fibre motor spacer. The part is machined from high-quality 3.0mm carbon fibre but any other thickness is available upon request. Two holes are countersunk, 2.0mm and above thicknesses, to allow owners to attach it to the motor, making mounting of the while assembly much easier. These spacers are useful on pan cars to balance your rear pod, or on the MG Evo to allow better motor clearance.

Trinity EB410 aluminium option parts

Coming from Trinity is a range of new aluminium option parts for Tekno RC’s popular EB410 1/10th scale 4WD buggy and the new ET410 4WD truck. First up is a bulkhead camber saver plate that was designed to strengthen the front bulkhead area. The part comes including mounting hardware. Next up is an aluminium steering rack and bellcrank set that replaces the standard composite parts with sturdier parts in order to eliminate any possible steering failures and to achieve a more precise steering feeling. The set includes two steering bellcranks and the Ackermann plate. Also new and made to replace the kit’s composite parts is the aluminium centre diff bulkhead. It strengthens the centre of the chassis for increased rigidity and better drivetrain alignment. Swinging over to the suspension department, Trinity offers a set of zero degree rear hubs as a replacement for the stock items and also new is a 4-piece set of clamping-design wheel hexes. Last but not least is an aluminium wing mount kit that will greatly improve overall rigidity. All of the above parts are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come black anodised for wear and with machined silver edge details for looks. All are a drop fit on both the EB410 buggy and the new ET410 truck.

Felipe Lyon wins at Chilean IC Track Nats Rd8

The 8th round of the Chilean National IC Track Championship attracted a good number of entries, making for some competitive racing throughout the day. After the qualifications, Tomás Ramirez (IGT8/Novarossi) took the pole position for the 30-minutes long A-main encounter while also scoring the fastest lap with a 25.110. At the start of the 3-minutes warm-up time a servo failure already ended the race of Tomás who wasn’t allowed to start in the final. This was the opportunity for his teammate, Alvaro Jara (IGT8/Novarossi), to snatch valuable points in the championship to chase Tomás in the ranking. But Felipe Lyon (Serpent/Novarossi), using the new GQ-Soft Compound tyres and after missing the 7th round of the championship, pushed so hard, that he was able to beat Alvaro Jara to take the win. An interesting battle for the 3rd step on the podium was between Raimundo Puelma (Ofna/Picco), Alvaro Jara Jr. (IGT8/Novarossi) and Benjamín Ramirez (IGT8/GO Engines). Benjamín, with solid driver skills, continued pushing until five minutes before the end of the race, allowing him to get past both drivers to take the 3rd place overall.

Pro-Line introduce new “S” rubber compounds

Pro-Line have introduced their all-new “S” rubber compound for their line of 1/8th and 1/10th scale off-road tyres. Available as S2 medium and S3 soft variants, the compounds are similar to the X2 ultra-long-lasting and X3 long-lasting compound, however they are a substantial leap forward in terms of grip in dry and slick conditions. Another massive improvement with the S2 and S3 rubber is that the tyres stays stable throughout long main events and do not fade or get soft near the end of the race. The rubber is available for all popular 1/8th buggy and VTR truggy tyres and also for select 1/10th tyres. The full range can be found here.

JConcepts T6.1 F2 truck body shell

JConcepts’ popular F2 buggy body shell design is now also available for the Team Associated T6.1 stadium truck. One of the key features is an arrow based design where the front is much narrower than the rear. While viewed from the top down, the F2 body has increased clearance in the front-end for tyres shown to rub against the stock body during hard cornering or while running in high-traction conditions. The narrower front-end appears on-point and with an all-new grille and headlight layout with four included grille options. The imprint of the nose draws in the truck enthusiast without giving up on the futuristic twist and Finnisher heritage. Protecting the front shock tower area is done with a traditional shape but contains new louver positioning and available air-release features located just in front of the main cab. The cab is important, not only for performance but to set off the F2 design with angular roof and parallel window design. The popular dual side-window treatment has been once again incorporated into the design for maximum coverage. The new body includes the traditional Finnisher “V step-downs” in the bed area which makes it identifiable to the savvy racer. Rear shock tower humps allow plenty of clearance for a front or rear shock configuration which is a common adjustment on the T6.1 race truck. The tail of the body has been lowered with an upper and lower transition making the rear a more durable piece even with light-weight materials. The F2 includes two spoilers, one for high-bite conditions and another taller version for low or medium bite conditions. The spoilers are durable and with proper trimming and included hardware bolt directly to the back of the new shell. A slight flare to each wheel well gives some structure and rigidness to the panels and fine details the design. Between the wheel wells an F2 specific, double drop treatment has been chiseled and tucked into the hourglass shape of the rear-end. The double drop blends into a rocker panel body line which provides some stability to the layout and provides that all-important chassis clearance. As usual the body comes made of clear high-quality polycarbonate and including overspray film and window masks.
