The XRS Italy event was held this past weekend at the marvellous facilities of Club Automodellistico 5 Colli in Gubbio, Perugia. The race saw 110 entries in 6 different categories. In the TC Modified class, it was the current World Champion Bruno Coelho who lead the way, in front of Alexander Hagberg, and Alessio Menicucci. The top two would finish in the same order after the triple A-finals, but Alessio Mancini moved up to 3rd, and snatched a podium spot from his team mate, The modified class was a blast to watch, with the cars reaching 125 km/h on the long Gubbio straight.

New for the Awesomatix MMX from Rebellion RC is their new swing arm set. Comprising of 8 pieces, 2 from each type, it offers a full range of swing arms, from the standard +8 and +9 offset points to the optional +8.5 and +9.5. The extra 0.5mm offset changes the car’s roll behaviour and handling feeling and on high grip tracks can be the difference between success and rolling over. Each arm is 3mm thick and features the offset engraved on its surface for easy identification.
RC Maker have introduced their new ultimate fan shroud and fan mount in one. Available in 3 versions for the Awesomatix A800MMX, Xray T4’20 or Yokomo BD10, it mounts directly to the motor-mount using the supplied super light aluminium mounting screws, with no fan mount or tape required. The new shroud increases the volume of air flow over the motor, reducing motor temperatures and how it is mounted, floating off the chassis, there is no interference with the chassis’ flex.
The winners of the 1:8 Scale and 1:10 Scale Class of the opening round of the 2020 Euro Nitro Series last month were once again the drivers to beat in their respective 45 minute long finals at Round 2 of the shortened series, which took place at the famous Apeldoorn circuit in the Netherlands. Due to the seemingly ever-changing travel restrictions in place, it was unfortunate that some drivers had to make a last-minute cancellation to their entry – perhaps the most notable being the Italian Infinity pairing of Dario Balestri and Carmine Raiola. However, their role to lead the 1:8 Scale Class for the team was taken up by the Dutch pairing of Jeffrey Rietveld and Rick Vrielijnck, who performed admirably – Rietveld even topping the Controlled Practice to be the top seed for Qualifying. Teemu Leino was again absent due to the conditions imposed by his native Finland, so once again Milan Holthuis slotted into the front of the Infinty team’s 1:10 Scale assault.

This officially licensed body is perfectly suited for GT12 class racing with all the exceptional details of its 1:1 counterpart including aggressive cab forward design, striking front splitter and sculpted side doors and vents are captured using the latest in 3D CAD and 5-axis milling technology. The extensive decal sheet lets you deck out your C8 with Corvette branded windshield headers, number plates, “Jake” skulls and USA flags. The C8 fits any 1:12 pan car or GT12 specific chassis and is formed from high-quality lightweight polycarbonate with paint-then-peel overspray film. It also includes an add-on rear wing with multiple trim heights for aero adjustability, wing mounting hardware and window masks.
