Micha Widmaier takes German E-Buggy title

The 2018 German 1/8th E-Buggy Nationals were held this past weekend at the popular Sand/Main track. SWorkz’s Jörn Neumann would take the overall TQ after the qualifiers from Agama’s Burak Kilic in 2nd and SWorkz’s Micha Widmaier 3rd. The triple A-mains then were a pretty exciting affair with all three drivers going into the final and decisive third A-main with four points each so everyone had a shot at the title. After the start Jörn would open a gap between him and Burak and Micha. After a close and fair fight Micha could pass Burak, as he made a slight mistake and in the last lap Jörn had a big moment that allowed Micha to pass and take the win and with it the overall title from Jörn 2nd and Burak 3rd.

They are machined from heavy brass materials and all four add about 25g of weight to one of the lowest parts of the chassis for improved climb performance and traction. Kyosho Ultima RB7 1/10th 2WD off-road buggy kit

Kyosho have released first information and images of their forthcoming Ultima RB7 1/10th 2WD buggy kit. The buggy builds on a newly developed 7075 aluminium chassis that is 4mm shorter than the previous RB6 main plate for improved cornering and optimised flex characteristics. Also new is the front suspension with gullwing-type front arms for more accurate damping while improved front knuckles and hubs with updated Ackermann locations and reinforcements ensure a proper front end geometry and better durability. Multi-configuration arms with bushings for long and short settings can be found on the rear as can be alloy rear suspension mounts. Other features include a lowered carbon-reinforced front shock stay, a new wing mount, an updated centre mount as well as shorter spring cups for high-grip surfaces that require the running of very low ride heights while plastic shock caps help to settle the buggy on bumpy surfaces. Last but not least are ring-captured universal swing shafts, and a newly-designed body shell and wing.
