Yokomo Max Power 4600mAh 100C Shorty LiPo battery

Yokomo have introduced the new Max Power 4600mAh Shorty LiPo battery pack. Made from high-quality cells and developed with both drift and 1/10th buggy racers in mind, the 2S battery measures 96x47x24.8mm and it weighs in at about 210g. With a lower price tag than Yokomo’s Racing Performer series the battery targets intermediate level and weekly club racers and it adds to the already introduced 3500mAh type.

Hudy stainless steel 35g & 50g battery weights

Coming from Hudy are their new 35g and 50g stainless steel battery weights. Both were designed to fit into the battery compartments of cars designed for shorty LiPo packs and they help to up weight when needed. The 35g weight measures 95x47x1mm while the 50g measures 95×68.5x1mm, ensuring they can be used with standard 1/10th scale off-road cars as well as many other vehicles.

Axial Method MR307 Hole 1.9” crawler wheels

Axial’s new Method MR307 Hole is a fresh take on the classic hole-wheel design that dominated early off-road racing. Just like the Double Standard and NV, the Hole features a simulated beadlock ring by way of a strategically placed under-cut on the outer lip of the wheel. The officially licensed Method Hole wheels are replicated in true form for durability and a clean line look, moulded in a magnesium grey colour with a satin chrome beadlock rim.

Schelle B6.1 3.5mm carbon motor plate

Coming soon from Schelle Racing Innovations is a 3.5mm carbon fibre motor plate for Team Associated’s B6.1-based vehicles. The laydown motor plate was tested at the OCRC Stock Nationals and won the 40+ class. Schelle took the motor plate up to 3.5mm thick, with a clearance cut for the slipper clutch, so that it would hold the motor rigid while still shaving weight off the chassis. The plate scrubs over three grams of weight and it fits the Layback and Laydown Gearboxes of the B6.1, B6.1D, T6.1, and SC6.1. The plate is available for pre-order now and will become available in early August.

Slovakian 1/10 Buggy Nationals Rd3 – Report

The third round of the Slovakian 1/10th scale electric off-road nationals took place last weekend in Kosice. The technical track with a long straight offers a combination of different surfaces and the TQ in 4WD went to Lacko Toth while in 2WD it was local driver Adam Urban with the pole position for the finals. As the sunny day went on, the track dried out and all the finals were run on a dusty surface and in very low traction conditions. The winners were already decided in both classes after A1 and A2, but the remaining podium spots were still up for grabs and it was Adam Urban who took the runner-up spot in 4WD from Roman Pavlus 3rd as Lacko Toth brought home the overall.

Pilot RC Products Carbide piston drill set

Pilot RC Products have introduced their Carbide piston drill set with hand drill. The hand drill is made of anodised aluminium and it features ball races for smooth and precise function. The includes drill bit sizes are 1.0mm and 1.2mm to 2.0mm in 0.1mm increments and their design with a same size body of each drill bit makes for easy changing with no need for chucking up or down. The drill bits are made in Japan for great precision and super sharp, accurate holes. The set comes with a compact, crack-resistant plastic bit caddy and carrying case.

Micha Widmaier crowned BAWÜ Cup Champion

After winning the recent 4th round of the German BAWÜ Cup, SWorkz’s Micha Widmaier was crowned the overall champion with two rounds to spare. Micha came out successful at round 4, taking both the Nitro Buggy and E-Truggy wins with Aleander Obermeier (Mugen) and Lukas Schulling (Mugen) coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Buggy class. In E-Truggy Micha was accompanied on the podium by Andreas Rüpp and Patrick Grübel (both SWorkz) while the E-Bugyg class was won by Kyosho pilot, Victor Gabriel. The SWorkz duo of Morris Voldenauer and Luis Schmid rounded out the top 3 results.

Xray XB8 series alloy monoblock engine mount

Coming from Xray and made for XB8-based kits is an aluminium monoblock engine mount. The part provides a solid engine mounting base and easier gear mesh adjustment compared to split engine mounts. The keyed mount design allows for the easy removal and replacement of the engine without the need for gear mesh re-adjustment after every replacement. The ultra-strong construction provides a longer life-span and durability in even the most extreme racing conditions. Aluminium engine stands for different engine brands are available separately. The monoblock engine mount fits kits such as the XB8 2016 and later, GTX8 cars and the XT8’17 truck.
