Yokomo MS1.0 Caster Measurement Tool and Springs

Yokomo has two new options for its flagship MS1.0 1:10 Electric Touring Car in the form of a new caster measurement tool and new springs.  The new caster measurement tool is attached to the steering block on the MS1.0 to facilitate caster measurement when measuring alignment when the new turnbuckle tuning part is in use.  The tool allows you to check and adjust caster accurately.  The new springs are softer than the MS1.0 standard springs.  Available in 1.8 and 1.85, they are effective for outdoor asphalt surfaces where you want more traction with a combination of 1.80 in the front and 1.85 in the rear recommended.

Blitz EK9-MK2 1:10 FWD Bodyshell

Blitz has updated its  EK9 1:10th Bodyshell for FWD class with the release of the EK9-MK2.  The original EK9 was developed in 2019 because the EFRA GBS body rules for FWD class applied but now they have fine-tuned it and made the EK9-MK2.  The development of EK9- Mk2 bodyshell is based on the middle motor Front wheel driver chassis, the roof height of the Mk2 is low down 10mm, with the low profile design improving the airflow and increasing downforce, compared with EK9 the new Mk2 body can carry more corner speed, less traction roll, and much more stability.  The EK9-Mk2 body included a light decal and window mask, the pre-mark body tower mounting location dots help the user easily find the right location to mount the body.  2 different thicknesses of EK9-Mk2 Bodyshell available, 0.7mm Standard and 0.5mm Light.

Yokomo SD/RD2.0 Drift Car Alu Parts

Yokomo has announced the release of a number of new aluminium parts for its SD/RD2.0 1:10 Drift cars.  First up is an aluminium front bulkhead bridge for RD2.0 and SD2.0 which increases the rigidity of the front area.  This improves the stability of the front section when diving into and coming out of corners, and increases the freedom of the driving line.  The shoulder section has been significantly thinned out for a lightweight finish.  For the RD2.0 there is a new aluminium mounting adapter that holds the lower rear shock.  By increasing the rigidity of the shock mounting, it improves  operating precision and increases road-following performance against minor vibrations. It is also heavier than the standard plastic one, which tends to increase the unsprung load and traction.  Also new for the RD2.0 is an Aluminium suspension mount.  Shaped to fit the RD2.0 suspension mount, which has a rearward gearbox position, this mount increases suspension rigidity for reliable operation and improved traction.  The width of the suspension mount is a D width that can be set in the same range as the RD2.0 standard, which makes it easy to achieve a slightly narrower profile.  Fine adjustment is possible by replacing the bushings.

Yokomo MS1.0 option parts

Yokomo has released a number of new option parts for its competition level MS1.0 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  A new main chassis for MS1.0 is made of FRP material with soft resilience.  This makes it especially effective on low-grip surfaces and adapts well to uneven road surfaces, enabling efficient traction gains.  Also new are 10 gram per side front ballast weights.  Made from heavy brass, it effectively utilises the tight space inside the suspension arms to increase front traction during acceleration.  The contact area to the chassis is also minimised so as not to spoil the flex of the chassis.  A new turnbuckle adjustable upper arm set makes the most of the MS1.0’s greatest feature, the linkage-type upper A-arm.  This single set of front and rear upper arms allows for camber changes as well as fine caster angle adjustments.  Finally in the release are button head screws 2mm thick and 10mm long which are also meant to be used as a body stopper installed on the upper arm of the MS1.0 touring car.
