EWS Summer Edition race – Announcement

The well-known EWS Essex Winter Series team has announced that the EWS Summer Edition event will return in 2020. Following the delay to racing due to the Coronavirus situation, the event will take place on 5th and 6th September at the Colchester Model Car Club venue in Essex, UK. With classes for Modified Touring, Super Stock Touring and Front Wheel Drive, Saturday is an optional day of practice, with the race event taking place on Sunday. Wallie Builds XB4 carbon fibre side guards

Wallie Builds have released new carbon fibre side guards for the Xray XB4. These side guards are designed to look good as well as perform in the heat of competition. They are lighter than the stock guards and also have a higher ground clearance for less drag when jumping and cornering. Included comes hardware for easy mounting of the new parts.

T-Works MP10 CVD centre driveshafts sets

Made for the Kyosho MP10 buggy are two new CVD-style centre driveshaft sets from T-Works. Available are a 82mm front and 116mm rear variant with both sets being made of high-quality steel for exceptional durability. Included with the driveshafts come steel couplers and all needed mounting hardware. In addition the joint cups are available separately as lightweight aluminium variants that weigh in at only 3.4g versus the 9.4g of the original steel parts, greatly reducing rotational masses for improved acceleration.

Tamiya announce new TT-02 optionals

Tamiya have announced the soon release of new option parts for the TT-02 Type-S entry-level touring car in the form of an aluminium LT steering set and an adjustable steel rear suspension mount. Starting with the steering set, the large tie-rod LT specification provided a neutral steering feeling with the steering bridge, bellcranks and posts being made of aluminium for increased rigidity. In addition the steering post mounting has been optimised to improve durability. The set includes all needed parts and it is usable for the TT-02 Type-S and Type-SR kits.

Exotek B6.2 aluminium rear hubs

Coming from Exotek and made for the Team Associated B6.2 buggy are 2-colour aluminium rear hubs. The heavy duty design maintains the suspension geometry setting, race after race and the set includes set screws to tighten down the stock hinge pin inserts. The customised polished black base with blue chamfered accents goes great with any stock or after market B6.2 parts and available separately are also black and blue link mounts.

LMR A319 series alloy & carbon rear hubs

Nemo Racing have introduced the new LMR aluminium and carbon fibre rear hub set for the Agama A319 and A319E. They feature adjustable height, arm position and a new longer link option on the carbon plate. The height adjustment inserts allow drivers to use three different heights, the lowest position is the standard position and then they can be raised in 2mm increments to a +4mm increase. The set includes two machined aluminium hubs, four carbon fibre camber link plates as well as mounting hardware.

Jared Tebo doubles at Cheyenne Showdown

The South East Wyoming RC Club hosted the 2020 Cheyenne Showdown last weekend, drawing a 266 entry field. Tekno RC’s Jared Tebo was the man to beat in Pro Nitro Buggy and he would bring home the TQ and also the win in the 30-minute A-main event. Some two laps behind it was Camden Lime (SWorkz) on the runner-up spot from Xray’s Zac Gastelum in 3rd. Justin Myerson and Zeke Ballinger would round out the top 5 result.
