Exotek on-road tweak board & carbon LiPo tabs

Coming from Exotek are a new tweak board for 1/10th on-road cars as well as a pair of carbon fibre LiPo tabs for on-road and off-road kits. Starting with the tweak board, it is a quick and easy way to reset chassis flatness and tweak without having to remove the tyres. It fits the full length of 1/10th touring and formula cars to fully lift the car enough so that owners can reset the top plate flatness without removing any tyres thus saving lots of pit work time. The board is made in the USA of black melamine board, it is light of weight and measures 300x90x12mm.

Meen V. successful at Asia Fever race

The 2018 Asia Fever race was held at The Dirt Bureau track in Malaysia this past weekend. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class Malaysian driver, Danny K. took the TQ, however he was not able to convert the position into a victory. Instead it was Meen Vejrak from Thailand who would sweep the A-main, taking the win a lap in front of Paphon Chanyasak from Thailand as another Thai driver, Game Mongkolphan rounded out the top 3 another lap down. Josh Pain from Australia and Adrian Wicaksono from Indonesia would complete the top 5 results.

Nicolas Bregante doubles at Argentinian Nats opener

The opening round of the Argentinian National 1/8th Off-road Championship was held at the Speed Paradise track recently. In the Pro Nitro Buggy class Agustin Cutini would take the TQ honours, however it was Nicolas Bregante with the win in the main final from Lucas Pons 2nd and Sebastian Recio 3rd. Over in the Pro Nitro Truggy class Nicolas took the TQ and win for a clean sweep in front of Agustin Cutini and Ramiro Davico in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Pelle Culmsee trifecta at Danish 1/8th Nats Rd3

The third round of this year’s Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Skive track recently. The weekend started off sunny and warm which made for dusty and bumpy track conditions. In the E-Buggy class it was Pelle Culmsee who TQ’d three of the four rounds for the overall TQ in front of Jan Larsen. In the opening two mains Pelle was able to build a gap on the field and he would take wins with a lap margin for the overall win from Jan Larsen 2nd and Aske Repute 3rd.

Devoll & Mayo win at JBRL Electric Series Rd4

OC/RC Raceway of Huntington Beach, California played host for round 4 of this year’s JBRL Electric Series this past weekend. The event offered the usual array of Modified and Stock classes and in 2WD Open Buggy it was young Ron Devoll (Team Associated) with the win from AE teammate, Jake Mayo in 2nd and Mason Eppley who would end the day on the 3rd spot. The win in 4WD Open Buggy went to Team Associated’s Jake Mayo from Tekno RC’s Carlos Arredondo on the runner-up spot. Dylan Nelson would round out the top 3 podium result for TLR.

Bartosz Zalewski wins at Oder Pomerania Cup Rd2

Round 2 of the Oder Pomerania Cup was held at the RC Speedracer club in Bernau near Berlin, Germany. The schedule for the weekend was free practice on Saturday followed by the opening round of qualifiers with three more qualifiers on Sunday and double finals. Bartosz Zalewski took the overall 1/8th E-Buggy TQ after the qualifiers that were held in quite slippery conditions due to light rain. In the double A-mains it was again Bartosz who excelled and he took the overall from Steven Nortdorf 2nd and Thilo Schittko 3rd.

T-Works MBX8 carbon fibre side chassis stiffeners

T-Works have introduced a set of carbon fibre chassis stiffeners for the Mugen MBX8 buggy. They attach to the left and to the right of the centre diff area for improved pitch and torsional stiffness, which comes in handy especially on smooth high-bite surfaces. Included with the two carbon braces is suitable mounting hardware.

RPM B64 series front & rear A-arms

RPM have introduced their new nylon A-arms for the Team Associated B64 series of buggies. They are moulded from RPM’s renown nylon blend for exceptional durability while the overall design improves toughness and precision. In addition the arms scrub about 4g of weight per pair for reduced unsprung weight. The arms as separate pairs for the front and the rear and they are usable on both the B64 and B64D.
