Yeah Racing trail truck aluminium front bumper

Yeah Racing have released their new aluminium front bumper with LED light and for the use with the Axial SCX10, Traxxas TRX-4 and Redcat Gen8 kits. The highly detailed scale bumper features a built-in winch fair lead which allows to route the winching cable through the bumper without any modifications needed. Also included are two LEDs that can be used with the bumper as well.

Serpent SRX8GT XLI Gen2 gearbox upgrade set

Serpent have introduced their new upgraded XLI Gen2 gearbox set for the SRX8GT. Using tried components from the Viper 989, this new gearbox provides a more consistent gear change along with less rotating mass, resulting in improved acceleration and less maintenance. The set includes all necessary hardware pictured to complete the upgrade including NSK bearings, high grade anodised aluminium bulkheads, one-way bearing, 2-speed shoes and a new shaft.

Czech Masters Series Rd2 – Report

The second round of the Czech Masters Series was held at the Celakovice race track this past weekend. In the premier Electric Touring Open class it was Matěj Šulc who took the overall win from Zdeněk Hamák in 2nd and Miroslav Loupý 3rd. Miroslav Červ and Jan Kanina completed the top 5 result.

Kyle Turner wins at JBRL Nitro Series Rd3

Round 3 of the JBRL Nitro Series was held at Empire R/C Raceway in Brentwood, California last weekend. In the Open Electric Buggy class it was Xray’s Kyle Turner with the overall TQ from SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri on the 2 spot. The single 10-minute A-main event then saw Kyle leading the way with Ryan suffering problems and scoring a DNF. Behind Kyle, it was Mugen’s Adam Drake who established himself in 2nd to take the runner-up spot a lap behind Kyle as TLR’S Phillip Atondo came in 3rd, some 7.4 seconds behind Adam.

Penguin Cougar vintage buggy body shells

Schumacher have added Penguin’s range of vintage Cougar 2WD buggy body shells to their line-up. Available are the original Cougar, the Cougar 2, as well as the Cougar 2000 ’93/’94 body all of which are moulded from clear high-quality polycarbonate. All three include wings and wing endplates with the Cougar 2000 set also coming with a suitable undertray.

Kyosho Fazer Mk2 FZ02 Mercedes-AMG GT3 ReadySet

Coming soon from Kyosho is their new Mercedes-AMG GT3 ReadySet based on the proven Fazer Mk2 FZ02 4WD chassis. The entry-level touring car comes fully assembled and it utilises a shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain with sealed gear differentials, rigid suspension components, fluid-filled shock absorbers, and a moulded tub chassis. Other features include wheel hubs with dummy calibers and brake discs, grippy tyres on multi Y-spoke rims, and the name-giving Mercedes-AMG GT3 body shell. The ready-to-run set is rounded out by a brushed motor, electronic speed controller, powerful steering servo and a 2.4GHz radio system.

Gianni Giorgio wins at ROAR Region 4 Regional

The ROAR Region 4 Regional was held at The Fort track in Fort Myers last weekend, attracting nearly 40 entries for the 1/8th and 1/10th nitro and electric on-road classes. In 1/8th Open it was DJ Apolaro with the overall TQ from Gianni Giorgio (ARC) in 2nd. The 20-minute A-main event at first saw DJ Apolaro in the lead, however he suffered problems in the 2nd stage of the main, making way for Gianni who would bring home the win with a 3-laps margin from Chuck Moon (Serpent) in 2nd while Martin Johnson (Serpent) came in 3rd to round out the podium.

T-Works S35-4 aluminium shock standoffs

T-Works have introduced their new aluminium shock standoffs for the SWorkz S35-4 buggy. Machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and sporting a hard surface coating for wear and looks, the shock mounts are available as 4-piece standard length set and also as 2-piece +5mm kit, the latter allows to lean the rear shocks back which can be beneficial in certain track conditions.
