T-Works RC8B3.1 aluminium shock standoffs

Made for the Team Associated RC8B3.1 are two new aluminium shock standoff sets from T-Works. Available as 4-piece standard length and 2-piece +5mm sets the standoffs are made of high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and they come hard-coated for wear and looks. The shock mounts are also usable with the RC8B3 series of kits.

Pro-Line Pyramid T & SC astroturf truck tyres

Coming soon from Pro-Line are the Pyramid T 1/10th stadium truck and Pyramid SC 1/10th short course astroturf truck rear tyres. The Pyramid features hundreds of large pyramid-shaped pins with the knife edge pointed front to back and side to side for maximum grip that stay sharp even as they wear down. The carcass shape and tyre thickness of the Pyramid has been optimised for the demands of astroturf racing. The Pyramid comes in soft Z4 and medium Z3 compounds for both cold and hot weather conditions with the T, that includes white open cell inserts, fitting all popular 2.2” stadium truck rims while the SC variant, coming with blue closed cell inserts, is of the usual 2.2”/3.0” size.

Pro-Line 1/10th Hoosier dirt oval tyres

Following a first teaser image Pro-Line have officially introduced their all-new Hoosier G60, Super Chain Link and Angle Block 1/10th scale dirt oval tyres. Starting with the G60 2.2”/3.0” dirt oval SC mod tyre, the tread pattern not only looks amazingly scale but the tyre also offers the same high-performance as its full-size counterpart. The tyre features rounded side tread for consistent slide action that will not catch ruts and flip the truck when thrown up into the corner. The G60 tread pattern creates great forward grip combined with long lasting and consistent performance and it fits most 2.2”/3.0” SC rims.

SkyRC Toro X8 Pro V2 1/8th brushless motor

SkyRC have introduced their new Toro X8 Pro V2 motor for 1/8th electric applications. The updated version of the X8 Pro the V2 variant adds an adjustable timing feature for easier fine-tuning for various track conditions. Other features include a 5mm shaft, 12-slot stator and 4-pole rotor. The motor can be used with sensored or sensorless controllers and it is available in 2150kV and 2350kV variants.

HNMC Winter Series Rd2 – Report

Round 4 of the HNMC Winter Series was held last weekend with almost 80 drivers in attendance, making for a long day of racing. The Nitro Buggy qualifying would be a fight between Lewis Jones and Graham Alsop with Graham taking TQ, E-Buggy would go to Simon Reeves and in Truggy George Miller took the TQ. In the A-final it was again Graham with the top spot from Simon Reeves 2nd and Lewis Jones 3rd. E-Buggy was won by Simon Reeves with Darren Hayden-Ball coming in 2nd and James Clifford in 3rd. Finally in the Truggy A-main it was George Miller with the victory from Warabe Tatekoji and Darren Roper. Round 5 of the series will be held on December 2nd.

Kyosho RB7 front anti-roll bars & Ti screw set

Kyosho have announced the soon release of two new option parts for the Ultima RB7 2WD buggy. First up is a front anti-roll bar set that includes three swaybar wires and mounting hardware. The colour-coded swaybars help to fine-tune the front end for various grip conditions but are best suited on higher grip tracks where a front anti-roll bar can lead to higher corner speeds and an easier to drive car.

Daniel Grobe wins at RC Pro finals

The RC Pro finals were held at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, Texas last weekend in a variety of electric and nitro off-road classes. In Open E-Buggy it was Andrew Clark with the TQ but after the double A-mains it was Daniel Grobe with the overall win with 2-1 finished while 1-3 finisher, Hagen Gray had to settle for 2nd. Angel Reyes scored 5-2 finished to round out the top 3. Jonathan Phelps and Nick Vanderpool completed the top 5 results.

Wick & Vaughn win at Veterans Day Race

Leisure Hours Raceway held the 2018 Veterans Day Race this past Sunday. Austin Wick would bring home the win in 2WD Modified Buggy from Brad Taylor 2nd and Alex Vaughn in 3rd. In 4WD 13.5T Buggy Rich S took the TQ, however it was Alex Vaughn who drove from 5th on the grid to 1st within a couple of laps battling along side Rich. Alex was able to hold him off for a win as Lee Conley came in 2nd and Rich S finished in 3rd.
