Trinity introduce new B6.1 option parts

Trinity have introduced a couple of aluminium, carbon fibre and titanium option parts for the Team Associated B6.1 buggy and other B6 based kits. First up is a 3-gear laydown/layback transmission motor plate. The 3mm motor mount features a build-in spur gear guard and heatsink grooves for increased cooling and airflow. The item is usable with the B6.1, B6.1D, T6.1 and SC6.1.

Robert Batlle TQs & wins at French Mugen Cup

The 2018 Mugen Cup was hosted by the French Reims EMC club last weekend, attracting some of Europe’s fastest Mugen drivers to compete against a strong French contingent. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class it was Spanish frontrunner, Robert Batlle with the TQ from fellow countryman Juan Carlos Canas. After the combined triple 12-minute A-mains, of which two counted for the overall results, it was again Robert who would hold the upper hand as he brought home the win some 19 seconds in front of Juan Carlos as Frenchman Eliot Marcon came in 3rd, another 24 seconds down. Marcel Guske from Germany and Kevin Michaudet from France completed the top 5 results.

FX K301 engine & EFRA 2131 exhaust combo

Coming soon from FX Engines is a new engine and exhaust combo based around the K301 power plant and EFRA 2131 exhaust. The 3-port motor was designed to deliver maximum bottom end power, it is fitted with a DLC-coated crankshaft and a ceramic main bearing and it comes including an EFRA 2131 pipe and short-medium SM manifold.

Czech 1/8th Off-road Nationals Rd2 – Report

The second round of Czech 1/8th Off-road National series was held in Zidlochovice in the two classes of Nitro and Electric Buggy. The Nitro Buggy main final was pretty much a done deal for Martin Bayer while the 2nd place was fought for between Jiri Mara and Max Götzl. The latter however wasn’t able to go Jiri’s speed and had to settle for 3rd ultimately.

SPower S7 Evo II LPF Tuned .21 racing engine

Available now from SPower is their new S7 EVO II LPF Tuned .21 nitro off-road engine. The power plant is of a 3-port design for improved power delivery and lower fuel consumption and it is built using a balanced and DLC-coated crankshaft, a black-coated crankcase and carburettor as well as a ceramic main bearing. Also part of the package is a new carburettor whose design improves overall efficiency while the gold-colour low-profile cooling head ensures better stability and a lower overall centre of gravity.

Danish Electric Off-road Champs Rd3 – Report

Round 3 of the Danish Electric Off-road Championship was held at the RC Kongen outdoor track last weekend. The track was laid out with both old and new carpet, making setup a bit difficult. The track is also the home track of the Douglas and Kaerup families and both showed instant speed during the practice rounds. In the 2WD class Jesper Rasmussen set the pace in Q1 in front of Frederik Hovgaard. Jesper and Frederik upped their speed in every round of qualifying with Jesper holding the upper hand. Behind the two the battle for 3rd was closed between Lasse Bak and Marcus Kærup. Just behind the top 4 it was on-road driver Mike Hansen as Jonas Kærup was showing great speed but some electronic problem in every round stopped him to make full five minute runs.

Stefan Lutka wins E-Buggy class at NEOS Rd2

The second round of the NEOS series was held at Kvetoslav, Slovakia recently. In the 1/8th E-Buggy class it was Stefan Lutka with the overall TQ and win after a mistake-free main final. Marek Baumerth came in 2nd from Petr Skacel 3rd.

Adam Hall wins Summer Series Rd3

The third round of the Summer Series was held at Deerdale, UK last weekend. Adam Hall (HB Racing) was testing out different suspension setups in the first three qualifiers, found a perfect setup in round 3 that allowed him to TQ round 3 and 4 for the overall TQ. Adam then had a great start in the final, getting a clean take off and race throughout allowed him to take the win in front of the Team Associated duo of Robson White and Dave Bailey.
