Bruno Coelho is 2019 SIGP Top Qualifier

Taking his 3rd round of qualifying, despite a mid run mistake, Bruno Coelho has locked down the top qualifying spot here in Xiamen at the 2019 SIGP. The Xray factory driver briefly lost the lead when he rolled his car, allowing Dominic Quek to the front but once back on his wheels he set about regaining the lead to take the win and with it pole position for tomorrow’s A-main finals. Quek was just half a second back in 2nd, also running the new Xray, while an improved Meen Vejrak completed Q3 in 3rd. Akio Sobue was 4th for Infinity…

Kim Ki Heung heads the Nitro class at SIGP

Korean driver Kim Ki Heung has completed practice for the 1/8th scale Nitro class in Xiamen as the top seed going into qualifying. The Shepherd driver came through from the 2nd fastest heat, beating out a whole host of international names in both rounds of controlled practice to make his intentions known going into qualifying. Behind it was World Championship finalist Jeff Hamon in 2nd, some 6 tenths back with his Serpent, while Maxima team mates Meen Vejrak and Charlee P were 3rd and 4th. The final race of the day was the 2WD A-final, poleman Mark Lewis (Team Associated) led the field away but an early mistake allowed Chris Delves (Schumacher) to come through and the hang on to take the win by the very smallest of margins from the recovering Mark Lewis (Team Associated) in 2nd and Joe Renton (Team Associated) completing the podium in third. Xray Racing Series Germany Rd1 – Report

…is the youngest category, but also the class with the most starters. Not only the true-to-life bodies, but also the enormous power density give the FWD cars a remarkable participation. The pole position was obtained by FWD veteran Oliver Kaufmann, who completed 25 laps in 5:00,700 minutes with his Destiny. JConcepts NCTS Rd4 Midwest Carpet Nats – Report

…they are completely right. The layout was actually very cool. It was a reflection of itself if you were to split it down the middle. With the jumps and features laid out in a manner that challenged drivers, it wasn’t an easy track to get around going 100 precent. However, cruise around at 80 percent, it was very easy. …the popular no-prep drag racing are Pro-Line’s new Reaction HP SC 2.2”/3.0” belted tyres. Featuring an inner belt reinforcement the tyres will not balloon or expand during use, which will give drivers maximum control to put the power down. They are made of Pro-Line’s popular soft S3 compound for lots of grip and they come including foam inserts and are usable with standard 2.2”/3.0” short course truck wheels.
