Christian Wolhuter wins at Australian Nats Rd2

The recent 2018 IFMAR 1/8th Gas Buggy World Championship warm-up race held at the MORB club in Perth, Australia was also the second round of the Australian 1/8th off-road national championship. In the Sportsman class it was Christian Wolhuter with the win from Bradley Thaggard in 2nd and Darren Johnston 3rd.

Yuki Model Samurai 3250kV B4 limited edition combo

Yuki Model from Germany have introduced their new limited edition 3200kV B4 motor and controller combo set. The 60A rated power pack consists of a water-resistant 3S LiPo-compatible controller and a 3200kV sensorless motor. Both come pre-wired with a T-type battery connector and bullet-style motor plugs and the controller is programmable using Yuki Model’s optional programming box.

T-Works MBX8/7 front track width spacers

T-Works have introduced a new set of front track width spacers for Mugen’s MBX8 and MBX7 based kits. The set includes both 0.5mm and 0.75mm shims with the washers being inserted between the arm and the suspension pivot ball. Included are a total of eight machined aluminium spacers  that are conveniently marked for easy identification.

Van Helmond sweeps at Race Real Dirt event



The second edition of the international Race Real Dirt event was held on the Pentecost weekend. The MAC Vlijmen club was the host of this event that offered a nicely prepared and flowing clay track to race on. The three-day event started with a full day of free practice on Saturday followed by the 2WD Buggy class on Sunday and 4WD buggy on Monday. During free practice a lot of laps where turned and the track started to groove in nicely, ,making it faster and more consistent to drive. With good weather ahead for the race days this made for perfect condition for everyone. On Sunday morning, it was immediately clear that the top drivers were very close in terms of pace and after the first qualifying round Wesley van Helmond was on top of the list. He wasn’t so fortunate in Q2, where a last lap crash allowed Bruno Heremans to take the top spot. However, after four rounds of qualification it was Wouter Wynen with a win in Q3 and Q4, securing him the pole position.

Daniel Vega wins Madrid Buggy regionals Rd1

The opening round of the Spanish Madrid regional championship was held at the Fuencarral track last weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class Oscar Navarro took the TQ from Alberto Garcia and Daniel Vega with the latter taking the win with a 1-lap margin in the 45-minute A-main from Juanma Guillen 2nd and Alberto Garcia 3rd.

Aaron Münster double TQs & wins Dirt Classics

The 2018 Dirt Classics were held at the Elektro Offroad Club in Dielsdorf, Switzerland over the weekend in several electric off-road classes. Aaron Münster would double TQ the 2WD Modified and 4WD Modified Buggy classes and he was able to convert the pole positions into wins also for a perfect sweep. Peter Forster and Philipp Huber in 2nd and 3rd respectively would complete the 2WD podium while Philip Jeisy and Fabian Widmer rounded out the 4WD top 3 results.

Bryan Baldo wins Levante Championship Rd5

Last weekend the fifth round of the Spanish Levante Championship was held at the Elda with some of the region’s fastest drivers in attendance. Kyosho’s Bryan Baldo took the win in the Nitro Buggy A category from Mugen’s Manuel Iniesta on the runner-up spot. Oscar Baldo (Kyosho) came in 3rd from Joan Espasa 4th and Luis Ignacio Candel 5th.

Kilic brothers sweep BIG Hamburg anniversary race

The BIG Hamburg club held their 35 years anniversary race this past weekend at their large outdoor dirt track. Classes run were 1/8th Nitro Buggy and E-Buggy and the race attracted some of the country’s fastest off-road racers to compete under perfect weather and track conditions. In the Nitro class and at the start of the 40-minutes main final it was Burak Kilic (Agama) who lead the field from Maik Wiesweg (Mugen) and Berkan Kilic (Agama). The latter ran into trouble later and scored a DNF, making way for Jan Sievert (Mugen). This would then also be the top 3 result at the end of the 40 minutes.
