Armand Lantheaume wins at French EP Buggy Nats Rd3

For the third round of this year’s French 1/10th Electric Buggy National Championship racers travelled to the Bonneville dirt track last weekend. In the 4WD Modified Buggy class Xray’s Armand Lantheaume took the overall TQ and he also won the opening two A-main events for the overall as HB Racing’s Thomas Musso came in 2nd and Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski rounded out the top 3 results. Over in the 2WD Modified Buggy class it was Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski with the win after the triple A-mains. TLR’s Renaud Savoya came in 2nd from young Team Associated driver, Clement Boda in 3rd.

Pelle Culmsee TQs & wins at Danish Truggy champs

The opening round of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Skanderborg RC club last weekend. On Saturday the Nitro Truggy and E-Buggy classes would be run and it was Pelle Culmsee who grabbed the TQs in both categories. In Nitro Truggy Pelle had a bit of a troublesome A-main as he got taken out by another driver, nevertheless he was able to win the main in style and in front of Daniel Bubel and Daniel Rose.

Carsten Keller takes Hessencup win

Round 3 of the German Hessencup was held at the MSC Ober-Mörlen club last weekend. In the Expert Buggy class it was Carsten Keller with a dominant overall TQ from Lennart Wissel. In the 30-minute main final it was again Carsten who set the pace as he would bring home the win with a 2-laps margin from Tim Kunz 2nd and Lennart Wissel 3rd.

Jan Nickels wins at NRW Cup

The opening round of the NRW Cup was held in Kürten, Germany this past weekend. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz driver, Jan Nickels with the win from Mugen’s Rene van Schaijk on the runner-up spot. Xray’s Sander van Genechten would round out the top 3 result.

Bradley Baird doubles at Irish 1/8th Buggy opener

This past weekend saw Rd1 of the Irish National Off-road Series kick off at the popular Badmcc race track. Bradley Baird took his JQ Racing buggies to a double TQ and victory in both Nitro and Electric classes. Alan Scroggie (HB Racing) and Paul Myles (Kyosho) would round out the Nitro podium as David Telford in 2nd and Andrew Rennick clinching 3rd, completed a JQ Racing podium sweep in the E-Buggy class.

Nick Sublette doubles at 452 Raceway opening race

452 Raceway of Lindale, Texas held their grand track opening race this past weekend. Texas native Nick Sublette swept the 1/8th scale Buggy classes as he drove his buggy to the win in the 30-minute Expert Nitro Buggy A-main final in front of Pablo Tejada and Myk Willis. Over in the Expert E-Buggy mains it was again Nick Sublette with a comfortable win from Mark Santa Maria 2nd and Stewart Holmes 3rd.

Jessica Palsson wins at MSC Rd2

Round 2 of the Middle Swedish Cup was held in Mjölby this past weekend with some of the country’s fastest drivers in attendance. Serpent’s Pontus Larsson took the TQ courtesy of winning two qualifying rounds and he also won his semifinal, however it was Kyosho’s Jessica Palsson with the pole position for the 30-minute A-main event. In the opening stages of the race both Jessica and Pontus were pretty equal in terms of pace but once Pontus got into a tangle with another car, Jessica was able to open a 10-seconds gap and that would increase to 30 seconds at the end of the main, allowing her to bring home a solid win from Pontus Larsson 2nd as Andreas Edvinsson rounded out the top 3 podium result.

Hobbywing XeRun Axe brushless power system

Hobbywing have introduced their new XeRun series Axe brushless power system for crawlers and trail trucks. Featuring the new FOC Field-oriented Control technology, that is understood to match the motor RPM with the throttle position, the system allows for greatly improved car control especially on downhill sections while making the system more silent, higher performing and more reliable. The motor, with a newly developed staggered pole design, ensures consistent deceleration, smoother power supply, smoother brake control and an overall greatly improved throttle feeling. The whole system is IP-67 waterproof for go-everywhere capabilities right out of the package and the controller is programmable using Hobbywing’s iOS or Android apps and using the speedo’s build-in Bluetooth module.
