Team Bomber TB-AK12 1/12th scale pan car kit

Following a couple of teaser images Team Bomber have fully unveiled their all-new TB-AK12 1/12th scale pan car kit. The vehicle is based on a 2.0mm 7075 aluminium chassis plate for a low centre of gravity and optimised handling in high-bite track conditions which is further supported by the use of carbon fibre front lower arms and rigid Xenon-made upper composite arms. The bearings are high-quality X9 ball races supplied by Axon and the included high-quality titanium steering and camber turnbuckles offer both a low weight and high rigidity. The floating-type servo mount ensures tweak-free servo mounting and the centre big bore shock absorber provides sufficient traction. Other features include specially coated aluminium front pivot balls, a carbon fibre solid rear axle assembly and a Xenon 76T spur gear.

T-Works introduce Rapide F1 Evo2 optionals

Coming from T-Works and made for the Roche Rapide F1 Evo2 formula kit are several new option parts. The range includes a 3-piece titanium turnbuckle set, an 11-piece precision ball bearing kit, as well as a total of five screw sets including red all-aluminium, mixed aluminium and titanium, all-titanium as well as gold-colour steel screw sets. The alloy and titanium screw sets include T-Works’ signature UFO head screws with one of the golden screw kits also being available with UFO head fasteners.

Guillaume Tremblay wins at Quebec RC Series Rd3

Bego Raceway of Napierville, Canada hosted round 3 of the Quebec RC Series last weekend, attracting over 135 entries. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class it was Damian Lamy (Team Associated) with the overall TQ, however it was 2nd place qualifier, Guillaume Tremblay (Mugen) with the win in the 20-minute A-final event after swapping places with Damian several times during the main. Behind the two, it was David Lecuyer (Team Associated) with the final top 3 spot.

Revtech XFactor oil slick titanium screw kit

Trinity have introduced the new Revtech oil slick titanium screw kit for the use with the XFactor brushless motors. While looking the part, the non-magnetic fasteners can also increase the overall RPM and performance of the motor due to not interfering the the magnetic field of the rotor, making them a great addition especially to stock motors. The set includes six screws and it will hit stores soon.

ARC R12 SRS Super Response Servo

ARC have announced the release of their new SRS Super Response Servo specially designed for the use with the ARC R12 touring car. Developed and produced in collaboration with Savöx, the steering servo supports the Super High Response protocol that is available from high-end transmitters and it provides quicker response and a wider working angle on the R12 chassis. The ARC SRS utilises a short 5cm all-black servo lead for neat and clean wiring and the unique all-aluminium case incorporates a servo mount that allows racers to do away with the standard servo mount, ensuring a super low-profile design and a lower overall centre of gravity, all while allowing to scrub 9g of weight and the attachment of the servo 8mm closer to the centreline of the chassis. As for the specifications, the brushless motor servo pulls up to 9kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.07 seconds.

RC-Lemans Series Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the 2020 RC-Lemans Series was hosted by the MCC Rhein Ahr track in Germany last weekend. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic the event was a maiden one this year for many drivers and thus Saturday’s practice was extensively used to get in the first runs of the season. Both the club and the drivers swiftly adapted to the new measures that had to be taken to guarantee everyone’s safety and things really worked out great from the get go. Sunday kicked off less smoothly however as overnight rain forced the organisers to delay the start of the race for about an hour. When things finally started off and in the fast LMP1 Modified class, it was Tim Altmann who set the pace in the opening qualifier. He took the round with a lap margin from last year’s vice champion, Tobias Weist and his brother Kai Altmann.

Exotek B6.2 heavy-duty fan mount

Coming from Exotek and made for the Team Associated B6.2 buggy is a heavy-duty aluminium fan mount. It is a direct bolt-on for less flex and stronger fan mounting and due to its lightweight 6061 aluminium construction it weighs in at only about 1g. The mount comes black coated with blue chamfer details and it is usable with most fan units.
