Bruno Coelho took the win in 2WD at the 1:10 Electric Offroad Euros Warm-up Race today in the Netherlands. With the RACO2000 astro surface track in Utrecht hosting the EFRA European Championships from July 17th to 22nd, the Warm-up Race attracted a strong entry of factory drivers including reigning champion Tommy Hall. Brandon Clements took the win at the West Coast Onroad Nationals over the weekend, the event the first major race to be hosted by Finishline RC Raceway. The impressive facility in Bakersfield, CA, which is a joint venture between Track Time Hobbies and Finishline Signs, attracted almost 200 entries with the grids set over 4 rounds of qualifying, with 2 to count. …hour A-Main ahead of the Tekno of Jackson Beale, the Australian posting three P2 runs after a difficult opening qualifier on Friday. With the Philippine Masters his first ever race outside of Australia, Jordan Van will line-up third also at the controls of a Tekno chassis having produced Top 3 runs every round. Korean driver Apex Kim will start 4th ahead of Kiwi Shane O’Connor and Philippines diver Daniel Miranda. …Infinity driver leading home the ARC of Silvio Hächler and Capricorn of Mirko Salemi. In qualifying, it was Balestri who took the TQ ahead of fellow World Champion Simon Kurzbuch with Francesco Tironi, Hächler and Toni Gruber making up the Top 5 places on the grid. In the 45-minute final it was Balestri who control the race taking victory from Hächler, a late mistake from team-mate Tironi ending the potential for an Infinity 1-2 finish. Last weekend saw the opening round of the four round Portuguese Electric Touring Car Championship take place at the ARMAIA track in Vilar de Luz. Better known by it’s fast flowing circuit, technical corners and a “pass or fail” chicane near the rostrum, gives thrilling moments of driving. The 2nd season of the Heroes Winter Cup just ended, a championship of 5 outdoor races that takes place in the middle of the freezing winter on the GAMES track in Segrate near Milan, Italy.
