Schelle B6.1 front & rear carbon fibre shock towers

Coming from Schelle Racing Innovations and made for the Team Associated B6.1 series of buggies are a 5mm front gullwing arm shock tower and a rear low centre of gravity stay. The 5mm front tower is of a heavy duty design, however it matched the kit geometry and it is usable with the plastic tower guard that covers the optional wing mount locations. Also available is a thinner 4mm variant to match the flex characteristics of the standard kit tower. Last but not least comes the B6.1D low centre of gravity rear shock tower. It lowers the shocks for a low CG and more predictable rear suspension as this tower sits 2mm lower to the ground, and also gives racers the fine adjustment with tight hole spacing. The 4mm tower is a direct bolt-on to the B6.1D and it was designed for the use with 31mm shock body and short rod ends.

JConcepts NT48.3 Finnisher body shell

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Tekno NT48.3 truggy is the new Finnisher body shell. The slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance highlight a performance oriented core while wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for the unique Tekno NT48.3 shock geometry. The body incorporates a large centre fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. Extended front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight while the supplied decals stand-out like an 18 wheeler. The body comes moulded from high-quality polycarbonate, including window masks and a decal sheet and it also fits and works with the ET48.3 electric truck.

RDRP YZ-4 SF alloy steering plate & bellcranks

Revolution Design Racing Products from Germany has introduced two new aluminium option parts for the Yokomo YZ-4 SF off-road buggy in the form of an aluminium steering plate and aluminium steering bell cranks. Starting with the steering plate, the part is machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and it replaces the standard carbon fibre part with the alloy plate, improving stability and steering precision. In addition the updated design does away with the kit’s sloppy bushing and shim construction in favour of highly precise ball bearings which results in less play, more precision, an overall improved steering feeling and virtually no wear. The steering plate comes black anodised to match the remainder of the buggy’s alloy parts.

Ruddog clear 25mm double sided tape

New from Ruddog Products comes a clear double sided tape for a wide range of applications. Coming as convenient 100cm rolls the clear silicone tape offers a comparable thickness to standard foam tapes, however it is much easier to remove from the chassis and electronics while still offering loads of bonding strength for demanding off-road and on-road applications. The somewhat thin tape keeps the electronics as low as possible for minimal influence on the car’s overall centre of gravity and at 25mm width it is ideal for speed controllers, receivers, personal transponders and many more.

Daniel Grobe wins at Thornhill Championship Series Rd4

Round 4 of the Thornhill Championship Series was held recently at the Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, Texas. After having some issues in round one and two of E-Truggy qualifying it was Daniel Grobe who got together a brilliant drive in Q3 to secure the overall TQ with the only 9-lap run of the class. For the double A-mains, Daniel would get a clean start in A1, but an early mistake dropped him to 2nd as in turn Jason Hill made a mistake and Daniel got by, where he would control the pace, not push the truck to much, and would take the win. In A2, Daniel got off to a clean start again with no mistakes and he didn’t want to throw away a win, or crash hard, as Jason again made a mistake and he would over drive to chase Daniel down. Up front Daniel took another win for the overall as Jason Hill came in 2nd and Isaac Price ended the day in 3rd.
