RPM Traxxas VXL-3S ESC cage

RPM have introduced a new ESC cage for the #3355R version of the Traxxas VXL-3S speed controller. The mounting tabs have been reported to RPM as weak and this is why the RPM part eliminates the use of the two mounting tabs on the ESC in favour of a complete cage system that solidly locks the ESC in place. By completely surrounding and capturing the VXL-3S speedo, damage from broken tabs and ejection from the vehicle has been completely eliminated and the cage works perfectly even if one or both mounting tabs on the ESC have already been broken or cut off. Each RPM ESC cage, that is available in black or blue colour, is made from a strong, ultra lightweight blend of engineering grade nylons for exceptional durability.

The second round of the French Elite 1/8th Nitro Off-road Nationals was held in Deuvry this past weekend. Hofer & Kaufmann wins at Swiss Buggy Nats Rd2

Last weekend the second round of the Swiss 1/8th Off-road Nationals took place at the ORCM track in Montagny, France. In the Expert class it was Patrick Hofer with the TQ while in the Amateur category young Noah Kaufmann came out fastest after the qualifiers. The Expert class then held a breath-taking battle between Patrick Hofer and Jeremy Pittet. At the 30-minutes mark the two were separated by barely a car length but with coolness and excellent pit stops, Patrick was able to bring home the win after Pittet also suffered a flame-out during his final stop for fuel. In the end Jeremy would have to settle for 2nd in front of Joachim Kallen 3rd. In the 30-minutes Amateur class A-main it was Noah Kaufmann with the win, some 22 seconds in front of Gabriel Pinto as Gilles Devaud rounded out the top 3 results.
